It's possible. But a last resort. If there's a trade on for Martial then I think we'll do business.

P.S. We let Modric go to Real Madrid rather than accept a bigger fee from Chelsea. If an overseas club can meet his wage demands, we might let him go for less than the 'PL asking price.'
Someone from Spurs who I always seen as ManU bound is Kane.
It would be the typical United move once they get rid of Lukaku

He's very good. We had the best defence in the PL for two years running with Alderweireld starting most games. And in one of those (2015-16) he only gave up 9 fouls all season. Great ball distribution as well, and a threat from set pieces.

I think he is leaving. He's probably the best defender in the PL and wants to be paid accordingly. Spurs (Levy) won't do that.

If an offer comes in from outside the PL he'll be gone sooner rather than later.

A lot.

He's on around £50k - £60k pw now. (£'s not Euros).

He's been offered £130k pw by Spurs and turned it down. A journalist very close to the club reports that his Agent was looking for £180k pw - the same as van Dijk.

The sad thing is I'm not sure Alderweireld will get £180k pw anywhere (Liverpool were desperate to sign van Dijk) but that maybe the relationship with him and Pochettino has suffered as a result of all this and he'll be shipped out.

If, e.g., Juve came in with a reasonable transfer offer (less than PL asking price) and at least met what Spurs were offering in wages, then I could see that being approved.

hm, thats 10-11M euros a year (im assuming gross) in wages, so around the same as Can (if its gross). in that case, he would be coming to be a starter for sure, we would never pay a defender 5-6M a year to sit on the bench. question is, RB or CB

if we can settle for 4M net, it would be perfect

Chiellini/Benatia probably leaving if he comes

Juventus are reportedly targeting Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer, though a deal remains difficult.

The Bianconeri have won Serie A for the seventh season in a row, and will sign Liverpool’s Emre Can after the Champions League final.

Yesterday Coach Massimiliano Allegri met with club officials to plan for next season, and both Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport state that Miliknovic-Savic is a target.

The former reports that Allegri specifically asked for the Serbian, but a deal is difficult due to cost and competition.

The midfielder would cost €80-100m, so Juve would have to sell one of their current stars to afford such a deal.

Alex Sandro is a candidate as he could bring in €50-60m, while Mario Mandzukic has admirers in Germany, England and China.

Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain could also attract big offers, and it’s thought the latter’s position was considered yesterday.

The alternatives to the Lazio star would be Adrien Rabiot of Paris Saint-Germain, Roma’s Lorenzo Pellegrini and Mateo Kovacic of Real Madrid.

Tuttosport, meanwhile, reports that Allegri asked for Milinkovic-Savic or a return for Manchester United’s Paul Pogba.

Sergej's physicality, presence, deep runs, technical ability, shots, aerial domination, etc.

This would be the sweetest transfer of them all. Please break the bank, Beppe.
