Its not a haiter argument that Ronaldo had a bad EC, it is a statement from one who saw the EC. He had one good game against Hungary, the rest he was crap.
Messi scored plenty of important goals, just like Ronaldo. They also both scored a shit ton of goals against the Legia Warszawas of the world, there is no difference there.
Ronaldo has been shut down plenty of times as well. Non factor against Bayern in the CHL semi, Non factor against a Liverpool in the final, non factor against Uruguay in the round of 16 just to mention a recent few.

Ok lets see. If we swap higuain for morata, we end almost on the same boat economically as we are now, the thing is that morata would be to use on the wing to not overplay costa. Mandzukic is not a winger and should not be used there, he should be cr7s cover and maybe the occasional left wing if none of costa or morata are available.
The same applies to morata to be ronaldos cover in case madz is injured.
Mandzukic will not be here forever anyways, and morata can play the lefteing position more naturally than mandz.
I repeat, mandz should be our back up 9 because thats his best position by far, as shown in the WC. We cant play costa everygame and mandz is not good offensively as a winger.
I dont understand why you say that darmian coming means no pogba? Totally diffeent positions and we can bring both if we insert sandro in the deal.
Another cheaper solution is to use cuadrado on the left wing as a back up to costa, and dybala and berna on the right. Problem solved and we dont need morata anymore.
