Buffon probably has 2 more years left. We really need to win the UCL for him. I want to see strong investment since the added revenue from the final and the lack of contribuition of other italian teams. We will probably earn the most from the champions league out of every other club (although we lost).
And Yes my friend even as a loosers we made most by far, Real made 80mil with winning it, we made 109mil by being second, so there is no exchse for spending definitely

Rincon was a January acquisition. He came at a time when clearly there was shit all around. Summer is where the fun starts.

Which only happened because we didn't start the season with enough cover. We start every season with great signings but... There is always a but. One player that could've made a world of difference that doesn't come. Then January hits and you have to get Fucking Rincon.

There's no Fucking excuse, spend the cash, we make it back. You can't keep weakening parts of the team and buying Rincon's to make it up to Allegri. Rincon. The short sightedness of that move. You want to win the champion league? Can Rincon aid you with that? No, can Lemina? No

The cash is there, damn right we should spend it. We're one of the best in the history of football at getting bargains thanks to Beppe & co but this isn't 2012 any more there's not going to be freebies to improve us any more. We either spend, or the gap we just narrowed down on the 'big 3' will widen again, guaranteed.

And people will point to Higuains transfer, that says nothing when we sold a player for a record fee. We need to do that, without the sales.

I never said we done it well, but when you have our entire team 30 yards from goal with zero outlet, it's shutting up shop. We just done a piss poor job and done it against the worst team on earth to try this against.
It's not true, we tried looking for opportunities but them passes were cut off every time. We just got suffocated and were clueless. Additionally it seems we were knackered after the first half lol.

A lot of time got wasted on selling pogba and I think our options as the summer progressed reduced. I agree in the middle we should have bought a physical replacement but we didn't and in a game like this, we paid.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying do a man city and spend like retards for the sake of it. Spend wisely but spend, understand you have to spend. If they don't want to then come out and say it, this is our reality. Don't say we don't have the money though, that's bullshit. Especially now. Being frugal has gotten us this far, we are in a healthy position now to loosen those purse strings.

One thing I hope we put to bed where the CL is concerned, is 'defence wins championships'
Disagree. Defense does win championships. Our defense failed yesterday completely. They conceded less. We had the best defense in Europe until yesterday and we had RM pinned back for nearly 45 mins. Our biggest strength let us down yesterday.

The Rincon's are more for the league. Late in the game when we are in control you throw in the little bull dogs and take off key players to rest for the CL. Utility player at best, we need them.

And I really don't care if Buffon wins a CL or not. Club > player
This.

Club always before player. He deserves it, sure, but I don't care who we have playing as long as we win it at this point.

I don't care what defenders you have, you can't keep a team like Madrid from scoring when they dominate possession the way they did. The biggest fault lies with the midfield, or lack of.

So we made 109m ONLY from the CL. That' doesn't even include TV rights, advertising, stadium, etc. We are killing it financially.

We proved last summer we can spend now, that isn't the issue.

IMO the only "tough" buys will be abroad (Tolisso, etc).

We can use our fringe players/youth players to lower the costs on players like K.Balde, Bernadeschi, etc. That's probably one of the main reasons why we are so focused on youth simply so we can use them are bargaining chips to lower the cost on players in Italy.

We need those difference makers. I maintain that I want Sanchez before anyone else. Then Tolisso. We already have Schick so after the first two we can buy local for all I care.

Sure, but it was the same midfield that got us to the final as well. We mentally caved after the second goal, everyone was bad in possession. No reason at all we shouldn't have beat them yesterday.

I feel that ZZ toyed with us in the first half. He treated the first half as a scouting/scrimmage session. His instructions may have simply been to sustain Juve's best punch which came in the first 10mins as a dominant side should expect in a match against a weaker opponent.

ZZ already knew what to do to win the match while walking into the dressing room at the HT whistle.

Orsolini scored 3 goals on u20WC. Maybe we'll use him to go for Bernardeschi or we'll take a good, hard look at Orso before anything. Beppe and Paratici did a good job there.
