One thing I hope we put to bed where the CL is concerned, is 'defence wins championships'
Sure, leagues yeah. But this is 1000000% not the case. If you play like Madrid play in the CL, your defence doesn't get tested much at all. The old school Italia method has failed us in finals time and time again. You take the game to your opponents in the CL final, or you fuck off home.
We need one fantastic, rapid winger at least and a top CM. Preferably 2 wingers.

Buffon probably has 2 more years left. We really need to win the UCL for him. I want to see strong investment since the added revenue from the final and the lack of contribuition of other italian teams. I never said we done it well, but when you have our entire team 30 yards from goal with zero outlet, it's shutting up shop. We just done a piss poor job and done it against the worst team on earth to try this against.
