Both Del Piero and Baggio played/started out as wingers. So while teams back then often didn't use wingers and the quality now is below expectations, the role models are there...

pre-injury chiesa was the closest to world class as he was the best attacking player of euro2021. too bad for that injury

but yeah, italian attackers are mostly meh. scamacca is probably the one with the highest market value and i wouldn't put him close to the top20 internationally. that milan dude (camarda) has potential, chiesa can still crawl his way back to an acceptable level, the others are forgettable at best

thanks for posting. they are pretty close, you can't say one is miles better than the others. fbref also has per90 data, you just have to select it manually for every category. fbref also has xa which is more useful than assists as the latter depends a lot on the conversion skills of the strikers you play with, and dortmund has clearly better finishers than frosinone
