I reckon our team will be something like this
De Gregorio
Cambiaso Bremer Todibo Danilo
Douglas Luiz Fagioli
El Sharaawy/Pepe/Galeno Koopmeiners Yildiz
Vlahovic

Hypothetical situation, how would people feel about this situation? Would you be ok, or would you see it as a complete disaster?

Koopmeiners proves to be too expensive, but Chiesa and Soule remain.

We go into the season with Vlahovic leading the attack with Chiesa, Yildiz, and Soule as our primary wings (with the ability to play all 3 in certain circumstances).

Our midfield takes a big hit missing out on Koopmeiners, and now it's looking like a combination of Luiz, Thurum, Locatelli, Fagioli, Miretti, and someone like Nicolussi.

Huijsen gets sold, and replaced by someone like Todibo, who starts next to Bremer.

If that was essentially what we were looking at going into the season with others like Szczesny, McKennie, De Sciglio, Rugani, Arthur, Milik etc being sold and maybe another minor signing or 2, would you be ok with that?

This is pretty much asking, if we cant sell Soule/sign Koopmeiners, would you rather still sell Soule and look for a replacement for Koop + another wing, or would your rather keep Soule and not make a big midfield signing?

This isnt a what you think is most likely to happen --- I'm asking how you would personally feel about this scenario.

Also, you cant say sell Chiesa and keep Soule in this scenario. Until we get buzz that Chiesa has serious offers from clubs he'd actually be willing to join, I have him staying with Juve.
Not ideal but I think we could win with that squad. Ideally we'd get one more winger.

Agresti also expects Soule transfer to be finalized this coming week.

If theyre gonna be sacrificing Soule they better be getting Koop and Todibo finalized.

Agresti said that Giuntoli asked Motta who he thinks is more important to him, Koop or Calafiori. He said Koop.
he knows how important Ferguson was to his Bologna. Koop is a better version.

anyways, who is Dusans backup gonna be?

soule is not known to be ready to lead the team, and would be big responsibility to ask him to lead. chiesa has proven over last 2 seasons he isn't good enough to be main man either both mentally and physically.

the Dusan backup should be a Giuntolata. Go find some unknown Frenchman or something.

Any midfield that relies on Loca, Fagioli & Miretti is a complete disaster. I've never seen Douglas Luiz or Kephren play but I would be more comfortable if one of them can protect the midfield.

Yeah I mean, I personally think that scenario would be a mess. I was just curious how people felt about that potential scenario, because people really want to keep Soule.

I am a very big fan of Soule but personally, I would rather the midfield gets fixed first.

I'm not keen on spending so much for Poopminers. Cucurella is a bullshit player for Chelsea, but with Yamal or Williams tracking back, the guy played well. Same for Bonucci being covered by Chiellini. We should be able to make it work just as if a one player is having a stinker, others can cover.

My concern is that we lose all flair players then struggle to break teams down. Also in CL, we're going to be on the back foot and that's when you need that bit of flair and creativity so you can snatch a goal. Good creative players aren't easy to find.

I agree mostly on Locatelli and Miretti. In my opinion Locatelli is a player that earns too much and is valued too highly to be considered a rotational player and should not be considered a fundamental player. Loca would be a prime sale candidate in my view.

I think Fagioli has a much higher ceiling than Locatelli and is worth keeping. Miretti can still be a rotational player with some upside with Motta as coach.

if it were me, I would sell Locatelli and hope to offload McNuggets to get Koopmeiners and maybe scout a young player for nextgen that could step up to the first team for the midfield.

I was about to bite an apple, luckily saw El Sharaway name before I swallowed anything. Could have chocked. Phew! Imagine a death because of an apple and El Sharaway. Can it get more stupid then that?
