Feels like the worst Mercato ever right now. Getting Pjanic back is underwhelming. We have been talking about our midfield for almost 10 years now it feels like and still no big improvements. Hopefully Locatelli deal is wrapped up at the very very least. Putting our faith in Mckennie, Bentanshit and Arturd is spiritual suicide. Even Allegri cant give them new functioning brains. I trust and love Max but im very skeptical of our management.
There are a few things:

1. We are most likely going to get Locatelli, does no one here remember the Moggi days? Negotiations went on even longer back then, we'll get him.
2. We already made the best signing for the midfield a few weeks ago, Allegri. A midfield made up of Locatelli, McKennie, Rabiot, Ramsey, Arthur and Bentancur is hardly a midfield to slash our wrists over, and Allegri will make sure we get the best performance out of them and we finally have a backup center forward.
3. What the hell do people expect in a COVID mercatto? Pogba and De Bruyne? What do you want, that's delusional. We are working with tight restraints but the lineup is still amongst the top 10 of the world and we are healing from the Paratici's financial fuck ups.
4. Let's see what happens and be patient. Some moves are blocking other moves, let's see how the team looks at the end of the Mercatto.

Locatelli would improve us, Rabiot is ok, rest is very limited football players. Hardly impressive

I remember the Moggi days. Players were traded based on their contracts and importance. We have a lot more games these days than way back then, but still we have very little cheap talent replacements. Moggi was not about to give (for example) Romagnoli 7m/year to have him hang around as our 4th CB. A player gets this money - he starts and proves his importance to the team, otherwise he is a goner.

Ramsey, Bentacur, Arthur, Rabiot ... why are we desperate to acquire Locatelli then? Are we gonna play Arthur vs recently promoted team? These are players who are getting paid to be important in CL/top games. If they can't - we are much better off without them giving youngsters the opportunity to grow. Add to that another not so small issue - how would Locatelli feel after a great performance in a CL/important game, seeing those players mostly cheering him from the bench and then collecting twice or more than his salary? Or we simply hand Locatelli 10m/year next summer?

if Juventus does not reach an agreement with Sassuolo for Locatelli, they could consider Miralem Pjanic as an alternative option. Juve will not take both players. (Sky)
