If allegri wants to play a 3 man midfield, with Arthur being injured, ramsey leaving and fagioli being young meaning allegri won't probably want to utilise him, it leaves us short on cover.

Me too mate...I just can't see him ever fitting into this team. We will have locatelli hopefully, rabiot, mckennie, bentancur and fagioli. If ramsey is sold of course. A bit light on for 3 midfielders needing rotation.

Then factor in bentancur needing to step up a level, fagioli being italian and young so allegri will be dead against giving hime more responsibility, leaves us with 3 midfielders who we know are capable.

Just finalising deals on all of the above would take 12 months...demiral and bernadeshi would get interest but the others no chance.
