I hope it's not true that Giorgio is out.
Savic is good, fighter. The missing class that you mentioned, is compensated with his will & mentality.

Bonucci is good, wish Pirlo had let him play against Porto. Demiral could become good but you are right he is not there yet.
Gimenez is good, but had an injury prone season.

On the whole we have: MDL, Bonucci, Demiral, Chiellini and Dragusin. If any of them leaves we can bring back Rugani. In my opinion we are covered and should concentrate on the midfield.
I definitely disagree about our CB quality. Also Dragusin is about 5 years away from becoming a great CB IF he gets there..
I think we should leave it like it is as you mentioned Rugani and it clearly shows we have a different opinions on what our CB level should be.

Anyway from what I have read here I would skip them all and insist on Saul.

Koke would improve our midfield much much more than Saul but sadly Atletico is never going to let him go. Saul is more similar to some of the players we already have and his level has dropped a lot from what it was a few years back. He's not an important player for Atletico currently. Still doubt that they'd let him go without receiving a big transfer fee in return.

Koke is more a Marchisio type to me while Saul can really be a two way monster. He has everything, but I really think Simeone's system restricts a lot of these outfield players. He plays Saul everywhere but as a number 8

I agree. I'm sure Saul wold be much better in a three man midfield as a proper box to box midfielder. Just think that a controlling player in midfield is currently a more urgent need than a box to box mid.
