Change a coach to someone with a gameplan and suddenly everyone will start to play better... Pirlo cant make us create goalscoring chance while Verona outplay us and were closer to score the 2nd.

As for youngsters - Fagioli really played well and I wonder why we havent tried to sub him on against Verona. He actually passes the ball to opportunity making areas.
We didn't sub him on because young players "don't understand small details" :gsol:

I've always said it would take several windows to get this right, given the current circumstances I would trade our position and future for any other club in Italy still especially not inter.
We're paying 236 million euro for players' wages. Inter are paying 149M. Take Ronaldo's wages off, and we're still paying more than Inter. Take Ronaldo off this team and compare it to Inter.
We're in a terrible position. What is it in the future that you're looking forward to? At the end of the season, all our fullbacks will be over 30 (not counting that Frabotta kid, since he'll never be anything more than a bench player for SPAL). Not a single one of our midfielders will ever be a top player. Ronaldo will leave soon. Chiellini and Bonucci will soon retire, which will force us to buy two more quality defenders. By the time we fix these issues, even players like Dybala and Morata will be 30.
If you think this season is bad, then prepare well for the next two seasons, because they'll be worse.

There’s criticism in Italian media about that choice. Hopefully Pirlo realizes his mistake

You mean mistakes. I dont think he can figure it out as he still looking for the right style to play.
Pirlo should have got a few years coaching the likes of Genoa Sampdoria to get more familiar with formations tactics and what works and what doesnt.

I do not blame Pirlo for all of this as its like you take a baby and expect him to walk straight away. Pirlo needs time and experience but Juve is not a small club that cant attract a proper coach.
The board put him in an impossible situation and while I said before - You dont need a great manager to win the Scudetto with Juve, you just need someone who can - not fuck it up.
Sarri came here and while I dont like Sarri and his methods, he is not a terrible coach. He is someone who brought his team to what might be the maximum possible in terms of winning a trophy (he didnt stand a chance against our Allegri...)
Sarri is a good coach but not a great one - So he managed to still win the league.

Then I guess Agnelli thought he is in a video game and decided to choose the highest difficulty.

Now the real question is not what happens now but what happens in June/July - Are we going to stick with our experiment boy or do we want to get serious.

Why do we need 2 more quality defenders when we have Dragusin and Romero to fall back on as backups. Demiral and De Ligt will be the partnership for years to come, they are a quality partnership that will get better with time. Chiellini and bonucci can retire whenever, bonucci the sooner the better imo.

Can you check how much they spend on transfer fees in the last 2 summers?

This is obvious and predictable since we have players that have lots of individual awards and championships under their belt. In fact Chiellini and Buffon have more Scudettos in their pocket than Inter in their entire history. We are the undisputed champions in the past 9 seasons so obviously most of our players will have improved contracts over time since they have proved they can deliver.
On the other hand Inter has only 1 player that has won few championships in his career - Vidal. For the rest of the team this will be their first Scudetto. It`s very obvious that our players will have bigger paychecks.
We are moving in direction to lower the wages in the entire squad. We started this process last summer. Nobody knows how long it will take but we have no option ut to build a squad capable of Scudetto in a very short period of time.

Nobody knows what`s gonna happen next. Things might change overnight. We don`t know what opportunities may arise for us this summer. On the other hand, The future of Inter is uncertain with the latest news regarding their Chinese owners. The same goes for Conte especially if he delivers the Scudetto for them.
The only thing that I am concerned about is the deadwood in our team. We have lots of players that need to get rid of but it would be very difficult to do so. We needed 2 summers to get rid of Khedira and Higuain. We still have to find a way to boot Berna, Costa, De Sciglio, Ramsey/Rabiot,Pjaca, Rugani. This would be the biggest headache for our management.

P.s. I just checked. They spent $130M more than us on transfer fees over the last two summers. On top of that, Conte is by far the most expensive coach in Italy and 3rd most expensive in Europe. Pirlo is not even top 10 in Italy.

Don't renew Ronaldo, and don't take up that option on Morata for 55 million --> extend Morata's loan for an additional season, and let Ronaldo's contract run out (no one is going to pay mega bucks for a 37+ year old - once his contract is up - even if it is Ronaldo. Go all in for Haaland in the summer of 2022, if he's still available.

Regarding midfield, do everything possible to move Ramsey and Rabiot (unjustified huge contracts - bad value for money - minimal output). Bentancur can stay, unless we get a very enticing offer in the region of 35+

Retain McNuggets and give Arthur next season to prove himself/his health. If he becomes another liability, move him in the summer of 2022. Promote Fagioli full time and see what he's capable of.

In defense, it's time for Chiellini to retire. Buffon can stay for another year I guess. Bonucci will stay, whether we like it or not. Keep Demiral and De Ligt, but I fear we might be tempted to sell Demiral if an offer of 40+ comes in. Promote Dragusin and recall Romero (or sell him for Plusvalenza). Danilo has been solid this year - keep him. Keep Cuads because for all his brain farts, he is a solid contributor and one of the few that can make things happen. Sandro has until the end of the season to prove himself worthy; otherwise, move him for 20+

Tek and Dybala to stay. Chiesa and Kulu must stay of course, and Turdeski must be disposed of at all costs. Don't really care about Frabotta, Portanova or Pinsoglio.

If, and it's a big IF, we somehow manage to do the above, then we can reinforce the midfield with both Locatelli (10 million loan + 35 million obligation over 3 years or something) and Aouar (or someone of that level). One midfield acquisition is nowhere near enough. Also, what we currently have in midfield is nowhere near good enough.

After that, try to find a quality FB and a decent backup striker.

This summer I expect two type of signings to happen -
1. Great CM
2. Good with potential CF

I think we need even more than that but this is what I expect our board to do.
Which players - Thats the real question.
We are known to be Pogba admirers - Unless a swap deal is involved which is unlikely I think we will wait another year to see if he is available on a free transfer.
Aouar and Locatelli - We are known to be Aouar`s admirers as well but I think we either get Locatelli or go for a different player. I just dont think we will sign Aouar.

There is also the question of Depay as if he takes us over Barcelona he will be the no`2 signing and then only a midfielder will arrive.

Again, one midfielder is not enough. It won't solve our midfield issues. Our midfield is absolute shit, one of the most pathetic among all the top teams, and inferior to the midfields of Inter, Lazio, Napoli and even Milan in Serie A alone.
