We have enough rotational players, it’s time to buy a couple of starters
I agree to some extent but you always need rotational players that fit your system and can give you a boost. If Rabiot isnt doing well and we can move him on for Tolisso id say do it. Mckinnie is our most important midfielder right now and he was a rotational guy. In the perfect world we buy two world class players but its ok to talk about other solutions as well.

pogboom it is then. And a wingback for either side
Pogba or Aouar+a starting LB yes, then we see if we can afford Locatelli and maybe a back up CF.

You start by shipping out players who earn high salaries without offering something on the pitch to justify their salaries (Rabiot and Ramsey), then you buy the best midfielders -because by now everybody knows it’s our weak point- you can afford to replace them (Pogba/Aouar and Locatelli for example) and the coach decides who starts when. Buying Tolisso would be completely pointless and redundant at this point.
Same applies to the LB position given Sandro’s age and declining performances and Frabotta’s quality.

Finding a good LB is difficult tho. Can anyone name 3 realistic good options?

So what happens now with Dzeko. He stays put for the next six months, frozen out of squad, while (post covid) Roma struggle to pay his massive wage?

Tolisso has been injured non stop for 2 years now. We don't need more patients for J-Medical. Even when Rabiot is not doing particular well, at least he is pretty healthy and available to do his job.

Rabiot should be moved on for a starter. Same goes for Ramsey. Bentancur will make a great rotation option.

I'd be perfectly fine with keeping our fullback options (and adding Pellegrini for free) if we add 2 starting midfielders and our finances don't allow us to do more.

Rabiot for Tolisso? Definitely but Bayern will never pay Rabiot what he currently earns at Juve so I doubt this is going to work... Not that Im such a fan of Tolisso but trading a high earner for a less expensive contract is always a good thing.

As for our midfield we need a serious midfielder - Seeing a talent like Barella playing at Inter is eating me but there are others..

Pogba would be wonderful but I think a goal scoring CF is more needed than a wingback.

Not in a million years. Rabiot is decent, just lacking the convictiion. Tolisso might be good or even better but he's hampered too much by all kinds of injuries... We're finally moving away from older and/or injury prone players, let's keep it that way.
