How is this unpopular? I wouldn't hesitate for a second.
There are many Ronaldo fanboys on here...

I feel that in our quest for marketing and branding the club to the next level, we have lost our way a little bit.

Honestly there's no point of having Ronaldo on a €31M net salary when you can't gather the funds to support him with a world class midfield. We are getting farther away from the CL each year because we don't have a good enough overall team.

Plus I think Ronaldo already has done his part in terms of our commercial appeal. It's time to focus on the pitch again and make recruitments that will make this team elite again.

Unpopular opinion but if Haaland became available somehow and if his transfer to Juventus becomes feasible, I would sell Cristiano and 'restart' with Dybala and Haaland.
Doubt that this is unpopular. Ronaldo is our best player but he is 36. Haaland is as close as there is anyone at the moment to be "the next Ronaldo".

The reason we don't have a midfield that functions better is not because funds are tied up with Ronaldo. Money has been spent.

Imo, it's a mixture of necessary rejuvenation of the team coinciding at this moment, with the old players retiring/leaving, plus "gambles" that didn't pay off.

It was a choice to go for De Ligt, Chiesa, Kulu, Demiral, etc. who commanded big transfer fees all together. While signing Rabiot and Ramsey as free transfers. It's not like there was only the Ronaldo money and that was spent on him and nothing else. It's the priority of the spending and the scouting.

Haaland's 75mil clause is activated same summer Cristiano leaves, no? Raiola is his agent...

I suppose its possible some club comes in and offers Dortmund 100mil before the clause is up. Just to ensure they get him. If that doesn't happen I'm pretty sure the clause and Raiola relationship work heavily in our favor

I'm certain we will go for halland. Paratici has been in love with him since forever. He will bring him for whatever it takes. If its this year he will sell Dybala to compensate the expense. And if its next year we can bet Ronaldo would get sacrificed.

So we are definitely in for him whatever the circumstance might be.

The fee is €75m because Raiola knows he can make €30m from the buying club as well. It suggests more like City or maybe Real Madrid than us, but plenty of people didn't expect us to sign De Ligt.
I think Madrid is out of the race. Perez won't negotiate with Raiola. They haven't been on good terms for so long.

I doubt we will get Haaland. Then again I thought the same about De Ligt so who knows.

I always thought we would get MDL but I see small chance for Haaland.
The only way we would be getting him is IF someone like Ronaldo stays and asks him to join. He might want to play with Ronaldo...
As for club and money appeal:
Real are above us for Haaland and money wise City would go ballistic on him.

The question about Real is what they are doing with Mbappe. If they go for him I see him joining them but then I see them skipping Haaland which means City would win the race.

As for us - As I said there is only the Ronaldo appeal.

P.S - I saw we recorded some loss - Do you think it will have its toll on our summer spending?

Absolutely. It's a no brainer for me. We have regressed as a team since Ronaldo arrived. Yes, I know it isn't his fault, and I'm not blaming him (that would be insane), but our results and performances haven't improved since we signed CR7. These are facts. Also, he isn't getting any younger, and his wages are insane, so we should also factor that into the equation. Two years of CR7s wages gets you a world class midfielder.

We were an attractive club before Ronaldo joined, and we will continue to be an appealing club after he leaves. Money talks. When the fuck did Ronaldo become synonymous with Juventus and Juventus appeal?

we should swap tek with donna and make milan pay for it. best deal since building a wall making mexicans pay for it.
Best deal was selling them Bonucci but we fucked it up.

Remember when they bought Cristiano AND Kaka? Wouldnt shock me if they got both Haaland and Mbappe.

Would hate it of course.

I think the only team from England might go for Halland is Chelsea. They are in dire need of striker and Werner has been a total flop.

I can see them offer Werner in exchange of Halland to durtmond.and durtmond will definitely consider this deal
