Would Jojo qualify as a low cost AM? Or are we talking Saponara? :D

Good point about it dragging on for a while. I think the longer that position remains open for the number 10, the more it would indicate that we are perhaps waiting to sell one of Pog/Vidal. Given how quickly we've moved in all other positions, I'm guessing we'd only wait on AM if we were working on an expensive one. Jojo for example could close sooner than the rest.

Its weird, we would need to play 4-3-3 for him to start with Dybala and a striker, and I'm not sure he is good enough LW in a trio to be a viable option there. He is all around decent slightly creative SS, more about movement and quick 1-2s then wide play or real playmaking.

He can play AM though, maybe not a treq in terms of role but more like shadow striker or the way brazilian AM's used to play

His breakout season in 2009/10, when Fiorentina made a "deep" CL run he was played mainly as an AM or AML if I'm not mistaken. It all depends on what allegri wants from his AM in whatever formation he ends up using, AM isn't necessarily a playmaker type, just like allegri used with KPB and vidal

Why do people think Jovetic is AM? When has he ever played there?
More than a treq though i see him deployed in a xmas tree formation alongside Dybala, much the same way Tevez probably wouldve been used had he stayed. That said, i think Jojo has the capacity to play a shadow striker-treq hybrid. His repertoire and distribution and quick play off ability could be optimised outside of a 433 imo.
