Damn I suck at this.

Now realistically - what I think will happen is we won't change much. We're staying put. The club has high debt, solid players and many co-owns will have to be resolved. They'll have to spend some money for guys like Boakye, Thiam, Goldaniga, Schiavone, for example. But they can also let the other team pay a small fee and have a buyback clause for 2 or 3 years.

I don't think Llorente will want to leave and we won't force him to.

Pogba stays, Pirlo stays, Storari stays. Only defender to be signed is Rugani. Romulo's loan renewed. Zaza will certainly come, Berardi won't come for now, with a fixed clause. Coman will be loaned out. I'd hate this, but it would be a very conservative mercato. I'd bet on a guy like Sneijder to come complement the squad (Marotta himfels admitted he wanted him. They usually stick to their objectives).

Renewals/Staying: Storari / Caceres / Romulo / Pirlo / Vidal / Pogba / Llorente / De Ceglie / Matri

In: Neto (free) / Rugani (4M) / Pereyra (14M) / Sneijder (8M) / Zaza (15M)

Out: Neto (loan) / Ogbonna (8M) / Isla (11M) / Marrone (loan) / Pepe (end of contract) / Coman (loan out) / Gabbiadini (6M) / Berardi (13M half with fixed price)

Total spent: 3M

Plus some spent with co-owns resolutions and youth signings.

Buffon - Litch, Bonucci, Chiellini, Asamoah - Pirlo, Vidal, Pogba, Sneijder - Tevez, Morata

Bench: Storari, Rubinho - Caceres, Rugani, Barzagli, Evra - Padoin, Sturaro, Romulo, Pereyra - Llorente, Zaza

fringe: De Ceglie, Matri

I wish it won't be like that. But I do believe it will be. :(

Now, Felipe Anderson. I know he has a lot of goals and assists lately.

My question is: how good has he played? Has he been consistent?

I'd wait to invest on him. He seems more mature now, but he was very inconsistent at Santos. He actually looked talented regarding dribbling. But was a horrible decision maker, big headed, didn't seem to have great passing.

So I wouldn't spend 30M on him now, as Nazio will want. I'm not sure this guy is going to cut it.

Anyway, I think he has been playing more as a winger than as an AM. In Brazil he played as a classic trequartista/AM. Winger position suits him better, he has to use less brain and more his athleticism, which is amazing.

Anyway, Lotito wouldn't sell him to us (at least for a normal prize) and he has EPL written all over him. City or Chelsea.
First, he didn't play exclusively as a Trequartista in Brazil, that's just not true. that dumb fuck Muricy used him in all wrong positions, including as a right back. Yes, a fucking RB.

Second, that even dumber fuck Muricy had a sick fetish where he'd enjoy putting the kid down. I don't know if you remember but he would trash talk the kid in interviews. Blaming him for this and that.

And last but not least, that dumb fuck coach never learned how to deal with youngsters. He's always been known to degrade their potential talent.

So overall, let's not use his time at Santos as anything. That being said i'm not sure he's going to cut it either. He's talented and that much is obvious, but it's hard to tell how far he can go. It's a risk.

@PedroFlu

I'd renew Caceres, he is a great squad player and does well for us. Also, is Schar free too or just Munoz?

No way we can get 12m for Isla or 14m for Llorentree.

And you really don't want to give Berardi a chance? His stats and age should command at least 25m IMO, you seem to undervalue him. :D
Both Schar and Munoz are free. Caceres is still 27, he's useful. I just think we need an attacking full back as an option. Litch is hurting this team badly on offense, but we are locked on him now and he's still great on defense.

If QPR remain on EPL, it seems Isla will get bought (8/9M pounds is peanuts to them, and actually I do believe he is worth the price).

Llorente still have market in Spain. I could definitely see Valencia / Sevilla / Athletic paying 12/14M for him.

Dybala seems like a pipe dream at this point, so if we can't bring him, I'd seriously consider Berardi. But I'm not really sure about him to be honest. Too many times I watched him play and I was not impressed. He's a very decisive and efective player, but it's just crazy how you don't really notice him during the game.

Also at Sassuolo he plays strictly as an inside forward at the right who tracks back all the time and spend more energy defending than actually attacking. He never leaves the right side. Always play on counters and cuts inside for a long pass or shoot. Also many of his goals/assists came from dead balls, like Giovinco.

I don't now... I really wish he could play in a team that builds the play instead of only countering.

This guy could be a complete flop or a great buy. 13/15M for his half now is overvalued.. but actually if no Dybala, I don't see many options. Haven't followed other leagues to suggest other players.

Good point.

I haven't watched many games in Brazil the last 2 years so... I haven't seen much of him.

One thing that stands out is his athleticism. He'll always be a valuable player in today's football because of that.

And Lazio did a great business. They overpayed for the guy. 7M for a kid who constantly put bad performances... he took a year to adapt, but now he's valued at least the double.

Fuck. Forgot it.

I'm always conservative regarding Marotta's plans. I never expect great risks or investmens on players out of Italy.

Pogba was an amazing signing, but not a great risk. Coman the same. Low risk, very high reward.

Guys like Pereyra and Ogbonna are in Italy, were well known in the country before they were signed.

But Morata is an absolute risk he took, the most expensive player he got till this day. 22M for a kid who didn't play much for the professionals and sitll had everything to prove.

I like this kind of thinking. I hope he can continue to do it. Invest in young European talents.

Just listened to an interview on BBC of a Colombian journalist/Falcao's friend and another journalist that reports on United. They say his form is not down to his injury and lack of fitness, but lack of continuity and confidence from LVG. They doubt he'll be there next season.

He will so return to his best here
