Burke's Suggestion:

At the front of the forum, the main index, put the "What's going on?" thing at the bottom of the page, to the top, like the older version. That way it would be easier to see, and easier to get to.

I always forget to go all the way down the page because the Off Topic forum was the last thing on the older version. And now I don't go past the Off Topic Forum.

What do you think?

Yeah its pretty easy to move to the top but I want to play with it a bit before I do it. I do plan on doing it and I remember the old forums had it this way as well. I have to go for a bit and I will check back to see if there is anymore on the balls and at the same time I will mess with moving the whats going on stuff to the top.
