Newspapers in England maintain that the Liverpool midfielder is their number one target once the Bianconeri achieve promotion into Serie A.

Gerrard had already been linked with a move to Turin before the Calciopoli scandal, as confirmed in a quote by director of sport Alessio Secco.

“He is a great player and has been a dream of ours for some time,” confessed the transfer guru to 'The News of the World'

A dream and only a dream. We can't even give Ajax 2m € now for Grygera. What makes you thonk we can give Liverpool 45 freakin' million euros for Gerrard?

Don't believe the sh*t the media trows at your face. You'll get delusional.

Our team will be made up of free transfers and 3 good players in the 10-15m € each range.

Like mark77 said we aint going to spend a large bulk of our money on just one player. Seeing as we have any money? Our team needs restructuring and to spank most of it on Steven Gerrard isnt exactly a wise choice.

Juventus Admit Gerrard Ambition

Juventus sporting director Alessio Secco has admitted interest in bringing Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard to Turin.

Juventus are set for a return to Serie A next season, and are looking to rebuild for the rigours of top flight football.

While they still have the likes of Buffon, Del Piero, Nedved, Trezeguet and Camoranesi at their disposal, they did lose out on quite a few key players, such as Cannavaro, Thuram, Zambrotta, Emerson, Vieira and Ibrahimovic.

They are now looking to spend big to get themselves ready for Serie A again, and Steven Gerrard is one of their main targets ahead of next season.

Secco admitted as much to the News of the World. "Gerrard is a great player and has been a dream for us for some time now," he said.

Gerrard has been linked with a move away from Anfield for each of the last three summers, with Chelsea coming closest to snatching him from Liverpool eighteen months ago.
