I do have some questions:

Pirlo+Totti/Gattuso
Vieira/Makelele+Giuly/Zidane
Davids+Van Bommel/Cocu
Nedved+Poborsky/Rosicky
Figo+Deco
Pirlo + Gattuso, not good enough for sure, Totti plays upfront for Italy
Vieira + Pedretti, obivously not good enough, Zidane/Makelele retired, Giuly right wing.
Davids (not even selected) + Van Bommel = crap, Cocu is sweeper
Nedved (retired) , Poborsky - right wing
Figo - Right wing, Deco - Offensive midfield, true partnership Costinha + Maniche.

Spain is the only country that comes close, with Xavi + Xabi Alonso.

Hope that answers your question.

England must have the best midfielder partnership in Lampard and Gerrard in Europe, that's without a question.

I know they are not in the same position but I'd rather have any of those players in my team than Gerrard. What he did in Istanbul was overplayed. He scored a header with non existent marking, won a penalty after a ridiculous tackle and just happened to be in place as Milan collapsed, then dominated the rest of the game. The result was a fluke, entirely of Milan's own doing.
Tackle? I maintain that that was a dive.

Well, I mean Central Midfielder partnership really, I wouldn't class Lampard or Gerrard as DMs.
yes - he'd be in for Nedved if it happened. Won't happen though. Not this year, anyway.

I meant you can't compare their CLASS. And Emerson is overrated, good but not close to Gerrard the same goes for Xavi.
Mate you really do not know what you are talking about?
What are you on?
First of all Emerson overrated?
Let me ask you this.
We played Milan twice last season and they scored 0 goals against us.
Now how many goals did they score at Liverpool in one game?
If you talk about Gerrad being a good CM I agree with you. He is also very versalite. He has great passing range, and he can also play as an offensive midfielder, as well as winger if neccessary.
But Emerson can cover the midfield much better than Gerrad, and Emerson is by far better at defending our own half of the field than Gerrad.
I would say Gerrad is more overrated than Emerson ever was, is, and will be.

I agree wholeheartedly
