Marotta: "We want to win; that's what we would like to do all the time over the next seasons and that means we need a competitive team. That means we have to seize all our opportunities.

"And from now until the end of the transfer window we will take our opportunities in the way I have just explained."

Thats some strong words right there.

Jovetic shouldonly come if players are sold ahead oftime
I dont know if I would say should in compared to would. I dont think he will come unless we have vucinic and matri/quaq linked up to be sold. I think Juve can afford to buy him but who the fuck is going to pay 30m? cash? hes not worth that. Juve are now in a better position in terms of negotiation because Juve now do not NEED him compared to last week Fiorentina know they need to sell Jovetic if they dont they risk him having a lack luster year which will only knock his value down and the Viola will be forced to sell even lower then say this mercato. Jovetic can become not so understanding and start forcing himself out of the club. Which will also lower the offers since the clubs know he wants out.

- - - Updated - - -

Fiorentina in my eyes are fucked because the promised him they would sell hes been nothing but compliant with Viola and if they dont they are in serious risk of losing alot of money considering only a handful of teams will really purchase him. City maybe but not 30m Juve want him he wants Juve Chelsea dont arsenal wont not after they finish with higuain. I really no where for him to go but Juve. Fiorentina are going to learn the hard way if they dont lighten up. SHit even Cavani is stuck for his duration of his contract with that ridiculous buyout clause and his piss poor showing at the confeds.

Some Italian guru says next and final offer will be 22M + Marrone + 1/2 Gabbiadini.

Seems pretty unlikely, it's way too much for him.
Seems realistic to me actually. That's probably, technically more than a 30m valuation, but Juve wouldn't mind because theyre not paying 30m in cash in the window.

We are completed in the attack! Whoever thinks we are going to sign another forward is simply delusional...
I am delusional. :D

I was worried that Jovetic would be our "il top player" signing, but with the arrival of Tevez my fears have been assuaged. I would'nt want us to blow a big chunk of our budget based solely on a players "potential". With Carlito's arrival, Jovetic's capture would just be icing on the proverbial cake. If Viola play hardball, then we'll tap up Ljajic and sign him on a Bosman next year.

If Jovetic is brought on board, does'nt that leave us with too much support striker type players with Tevez, Jokevinco, Vucinic and Jovetic? I'd rather us sign another Center forward or penalty box specialist.
Vucinic will leave IMO. Llorente, Tevez, Jojo, Giovinco, Quag/Matri/Zaza is how I see us end up.

:agree: I also would have been sorely disappointed if we signed Jovetic as our top player, since Tevez is one of the best players in the world. But now that we already have Tevez, Jovetic would be an amazing signing.

Tevez can play CF just fine btw. In fact he can play a multitude of positions.. SS, CF, RW, LW, AM etc..

Tevez, Llorente, Jovetic, Vucinic, Quag :xfinger:
You forgot CM, CB, RB, RWB, LB, LWB and GK. :D

This would be perfect, too bad we know Giovinco is going nowhere.
:(

I'd say it's nonsense, but I can't work Milan out these days.

It would happen in late August I guess, after they've tried offloading Robinho and Prince to anyone that will pay.
Doubt we will wait that long. :D

Beppe should act quick, sell Matri & Isla and then buy Jovetic after Monday.
I'd only. But I'm guessing we should have Jojo by the second or third week of July if we are after him. Don't see it go to August.

And some reports on FB talking about the same, that Viola are in a hurry to sell Jojo, and will probably accept our 22mil+1/2 Gabiaddini's and Marrone's rights.
Looks like we are gonna close with this.

:klin:
Decisive.

Jovetic shouldonly come if players are sold ahead oftime
It'll all depend on Fiorentina's position. If they go all in for Gomez ASAP, then they will sell Jojo before that, and we will/have probably allready made our bids. We won't have the luxury of time selling players quickly as it may lead to distress sales. I think we will hold out for our valuations is time, at least for the higher profile exits like Matri, Isla etc.

If he signs, is he going to get benched or what? Tevez will start and Llorente will be the target man and finishing CF. And I can't see Conte using a formation that accommodate all of them because that would mean splitting up Bonucci, Barza and Chiellini which will never happen.

rotation would be another possibility. tevez - llorente, tevez - jovetic, jovetic - llorente... all those would work imo.
but maybe it´s too early for us to start rotating players who are earning 4.5mio+ ^^

3-4-1-2

Buffon
Barzagli-Bonucci-Chiellini
Licht-Vidal-Marchisio-Asamoah
Jovetic
Tevez-Llorente

OR

4-2-3-1
Buffon
Licht-Barzagli-Bonucci/Chiellini-Chiellini/LB
Vidal-Marchisio
RW(Gio or whoever)-Tevez-Jovetic
Llorente

Or we might just not play with a targetman altogether and start with Jovetic and Tevez upfront with the same 3-5-2 formation with Pirlo in the lineup ofcourse.

Pre-Season will give us more clues i think.

Fiorentina CEO Mencucci: Several sides chasing Jovetic

The Viola supremo still believes that Juventus are keen on the Montenegro international - even after the arrival of Carlos Tevez in Turin
There are "several teams" interested in signing star striker Stevan Jovetic, according to Fiorentina CEO Sandro Mencucci.

The Montenegro international revealed earlier this month that he would like to leave the Viola, explaining that he desired "stimulation elsewhere".

It has been suggested that Juventus, who have reportedly been leading the chase for his signature, might drop their interest following the signing of Carlos Tevez from Manchester City, but Mencucci does not see it that way.

"It doesn't seem so to me," he told reporters on Friday. "Anyway, there are several teams interested in Jovetic.

"Having said that, I am one of those that would want him to remain in Florence, even though I realise that after what he told the press, that's become more difficult."

Meanwhile, Mencucci dismissed reports that Fiorentina's mooted move for Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez hinges on what happens with Jovetic.

"There are no negotiations related to each other, even if it is normal that sometimes when you move valuable players, it can create a domino effect," he added. "But this applies not only to us, but for all clubs."

Jovetic joined the Viola from Partizan Belgrade in 2008 and has established himself as one of the most exciting young forwards in Serie A over the past five years.

I think this must probably be the 'seizing the opportunity' that Marotta is talking about since Viola need to sell desperately to raise funds to meet their own transfer objectives and seems like we might have been the only club coming forward for him so Viola are caught in tangle with Jo-Jo seemingly very keen to move to Juve and their need to sell.

Or am i seeing it wrongly ?

(Regardless, wont get my hopes up anyways.)

Juve may not of lost interest but you arnt arnt getting anything close to 30m cash. maybe 2 players and 12m at the very best

doesnt anyone else feel a bit more swag as been donned upon us since the tevez signing? we are no longer desperate for a top player and now we pretty much can tod what we want in terms of our attack. if we leave it as is fine is one or two leave fine if jojo comes and two leave great but we no long need to buy this top player. fiorentina is hooped

Considering jovetics statments about playing in italy and juve, There is every reason to belive he is coming. Having 3 Great attackers makes sense, With 2 matches and sometimes more in 7 days. Jovetic will Explode at a Great club, and if we dont Get him now we never will.

I think our max offer will be 18-20 mils paid in at least 2 installments plus whatever counterparts. I think the purple rats will accept. They pretty much have to cause its either receive money for Jojo from us, or lose Llajic for free. Might as well make money off of both of them.

FAKE.... WHY? i don't see pirlo.
look, if we get Jovetic we would have to rotate llorente and jovetic or tevez and jovetic which means that he would be benched.

Having lost out on Isco,i have a feeling City will move for this guy.

They sold Tevez too,so signing a striker or two will be their 'priority'.You expect this to happen.
City would be a very likeable team then, giving us Tevez and taking Jovetic away from us. :xfinger:
