He can improve that but it's a mixture of things - vision, spacial awareness, a bit of knowledge when and where to release the ball. I've rarely seen a player lacking it so much in a top side.

His best games and key moments are all reactive, where his instinct kicks in and he doesn't have time to think ahead. His technique with the ball is also not good, but in his defence he is playing a role where he is asked to come into the side for the odd game, so he has no continuity with his teammates, and also plays a more rushed game because he seems to be trying too hard.
