Don't know anything about how legit those calls were, didn't see the game, but this is what really stands out for me.
Well the first red card definitely was the right call, horrific double legged tackle, feet first. It's the second one that was a joke, giving a penalty and a yellow for a non-call.

I'm sure Lyon, Shakthar and PSV are still licking their wounds
You certainly get ridiculous about these things.

Last year 2 semifinal goals against Juve.

2014: 2 semifinal goals against Bayern
2013: 1 semifinal goal against Borussia
2012: 2 semifinal goals against Bayern

That's 7 goals in 8 semi games in CL. Yeah, you're smart.

Saw it, first red card was legit, 2nd one and the pk was total bogus. They would won anyways 1 man more at that point and Rayo defense tend to open up the more game goes on (fun but naive team), but wouldn't been to that length if the hopelessness of 2 man less and bs pk didn't make them give up.

I didn't actually mean to insunuate that they got any help from the refs, I just found it interesting that 11 vs. 11, Real seemed to have huge problems with this match.

They did, they are notorious bad starters to games when they concead, brainless, even more so when they look like they have no game plan and aren't comfortable at all with Benitez. Game would be fun if it was 11 vs 11, but that retard trying to main Kroos after 14 mins when you leading fucked it all up.

I'd still call that a penalty according to today's game. slid with one foot, followed through with the other and ended up taking the player completely out in a fairly dangerous manner.

80s-90s... no way. But today, that's often a penalty even if you touch the ball first. As you still end up committing a pretty bad foul.
