I suppose you didn't agree with the main body of my post, which is fine.
But the youth academy is something that builds on itself. Either way, it needs improvement. My personal belief is that the loaning system is what holds these kids back, but this discussion is for another day. We can obviously keep our identity while having different outlooks on the game.

Right, but you're forgetting that Inter had the players to do that. Mourinho didn't just fart that out of his ass like a fiat footballing system. He had the backline and players in front to perform that sort of ball. But this hasn't been Inter's style of play for decades, mind you.

Why didn't Zidane play possession football in all the teams he was in, including the national team where he shunned the world?

Personally, I wouldn't get too hung up on how a team plays football now. Football is in constant transition and there isn't a single team in the world that plays the exact same football throughout its history. This whole Barca possession football is very recent, Inter I clearly remember used to be one of the most attacking sides in Europe; they were nothing like they were under Mourinho.
The point is, I think it's silly to assign one football philosophy to a team. It's managers and players who decide how a team will play its football; it's not like there's a Barcelona philosophy book that has -) Play possession football as their 5th rule.
Regardless of a team's playing style because I think that's entirely subjective, You're perfectly free to like Livorno's playing style over Arsenal's, I don't see how people can look at me with a straight face and say, "Xavi, Messi, Iniesta are not world class players that are one of the best in the game."

I appreciate the talent it takes to maintain the possession over such long periods in the match so seamlessly, and I also appreciate the team's ability to boss around Mourinho's Real Madrid like they were a bunch of lost preschoolers.

Anyhow, it all comes down to personal preference. Perfect football for me is what Inter played last season (especially in the CL). And this is coming from someone who hates Inter.

As for the other part, I have no problems if anyone hate barcelona, Madrid or even La Liga, on the contrary. It just the attacking on these pages that I find really repulsive.
If one just come and express a point, then that is fine and welcome, but if one start getting on your back just becasue you say they have nice football, then surely that is not the way to do it.
