Why did their parents chop off their hands?
King Leopold II, one of the most cruel colonial leaders who regarded the whole of Congo as his private property, had his mercenaries occupying Congo commit all kind of horrible atrocities, one of them being to mutilate hundreds of thousand Congolians whenever they could not produce as many goods as he demanded.

At least that's what I connected with the pictures.

Btw, do you know why were these children's hands cut off (by their parents)?
This is the bit I don't know about.

I'm guessing either their parents cut them off so that Belgian soldiers wouldn't kill them to take their hands. Or that they were forced to cut them off because they didn't produce enough rubber.

A chopped hand was a proof the soldiers gave to their authorities that those who didn't provide enough rubber were killed. So the logic is... why kill them and waste ammunition, when the parents can cut off their kids hands and give them to the soldiers. The parents have their children alive, while the soldiers don't waste munition and they can present the proof (a hand) that the "guilty" ones were punished accordingly.

Thats nothing new, and moronic considering Eto'o was one the best ever strikers in the game at his top.Made Barca tick and totally unpredictable, compared to the easily read sham of today.

Diego Costa in doubt for Malaga and Barca games due to hamstring injury . :facepalm2:
thats terrible news for Atlético Madrid :facepalm2: whats up with costa in recent times, he looks not fit after his injury in CL.

I saw today that some real players are also in doubt for the next matches, including pepe, ronaldo, Di maria

yeah its terrible , with such imp 2 games in the league and a final he needs to be fit for them to be able to win . I think he has been played a few times without being 100%fit , every game has been important so simeone had no choice but to risk him even with 70-80% fitness . Probably thats why recurring injury.
