[h=1]Pep Guardiola loses his cool with Alexis Sanchez (Barcelona 3 – Sporting Gijon 1)[/h]We are so used to Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola being portrayed as the wise young coaching genius of the Nou Camp, that it is a little refreshing to see him lose his cool once in a while. Guardiola threw on Alexis Sanchez on the hour to replace Cesc Fabregas as Barcelona were looking to come back into the La Liga match with Sporting Gijon, with the score at 1-1 and down to 10 men.
Late on, Sanchez had to come off with a groin injury, no doubt partly caused by travelling to play for Chile in midweek and is set for a two-week lay-off.
The Barcelona coach was caught by Canal +’s omnipresent cameras telling Sanchez to “use your head!” And also called the Chilean forward a “motherfu****”.
Video of Pep Guardiola throwing a hissy fit with Alexis Sanchez is here.

From what I read (in the past, not after game), use your head bit is about apparently because Alexis runs himself to death too much and too early in games, and gets fatigued and more subceptible to injuries. Thats why he says "90 mins, use your head" bit too I gather. Hardwork and constant running can be good, but Pep advocates more of economic runs and pacing I gather (some of the other players are expert at it, picking their moments on making the needed runs) instead of wearing yourself out.

Read this in the comments below:

"He says... "The shell. The shell of my mother, Alex. The shell of my mother. 90 minutes. Use your head."

I think he's annoyed he's overdone himself in the game when he's nursing an injury so he's basically saying "You're as fragile as my mum. Don't over do it. Use your head."

The "pa' mi" part is slang, I think."

-----

""La concha de tu madre" is an insult commonly used in Latin America. They must have argued about Alexis playing 90 minutes for Chile prior to this match, and this expression might have been used by him when saying that it was insignificant.

When Alexis had to retire, Guardiola used Alexis' words and said "La concha de MI madre" (The ****** of MY mother)

"Concha" (Shell in Spanish) is slang for female genitalia ;)"
