Real strike Robinho deal

The agent of Brazilian star Robinho has confirmed that Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Santos for his client's services.
On Thursday evening a radio station in Spain had reported that a €24 million deal had been struck and this has now been ratified by Madrid.
One of Robinho's agents, Wagner Ribeiro, has stated that an agreement has been reached in a much protracted transfer that has angered the Brazilian starlet's club.
Santos president Marcelo Teixeira had accused Real of making an illicit approach for the player and claimed that any club wishing to acquire his services would need to match his $50 million buy-out clause.
Despite Teixeira's stance, Ribeiro has claimed that a fee of $30 million has been agreed and that he has already deposited the money received from Real Madrid.
"It's settled, I've just deposited $30 million with the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) to be passed on to Santos," Ribeiro told Reuters.
"Robinho is just waiting for a transfer certificate to travel.
''He waived the 40 percent to which he was entitled to be able to fulfil his dream of playing for Real Madrid."
Spanish newspaper Marca has reported that the gifted 21-year-old has already undergone a medical in a Sao Paulo clinic - which was witnessed by doctor Joaquim Grava.
''I can't tell you whether or not Real Madrid are going to sign him but I can say that Robinho is in perfect physical shape,'' said Grava.
''If I was asked to give him a mark out of ten, I would give him 20.''
