The man identifies more so with Newell's. Crazy talk. Who wants to go to Newell's...

Diaz has been great. Though I feel somewhat badly for Almeyda. Getting them the promotion was quite the battle and he wasn't doing that terribly in top flight. Loved him as a player too. But Diaz is a brilliant manager.

i do :D i have a really soft spot for la lepra, almeyda as iconic as he is to the club was a pretty bad coach, let's see how long the back 3 will last at river.

in copa lib velez lost today in ecuador while tomorrow boca plays toluca.

True. I suppose he wasn't the greatest coach. It was refreshing to see his honesty though. River was such a poorly managed club for so long.

U de Chile won pretty easily. Surprising that Velez lost. They're usually a pretty strong Copa side. I love the Copa Lib. The distances teams travel, the crazy altitudes they have to play at, the insane supporters even by Euro standards. And the competitiveness of even the clubs from smaller nations. It's great.

Boca were terrible.

Are they rubbish this season or was that a one off?

It's while since I've seen someone as bad as Boca's RB.
