So how can that be tough? Out off all those NT you could make 1 and a half strong group.

All african teams can beat each other... It's like you have derbies each game
Because they are equally weak? Well IMO just a couple of all those deserve to go through and those 2 would/will not reach far probably.

As Bozi said there are too many teams in Europe that could risk missing WC. Both France and Sweden are struggling while it's a very hard task for Croatia etc.

Ps: You forgot Algeria's group
Sorry, added. My point still stands on it's place though.

What about Africa where Morrocco and Cameroon could be eliminated
They'd be eliminated anyway had they been playing in a European qualification group.

Just compare Argentina and Portugal. Both are having disasterous campaigns. Argentina won only 6 of the 15 qualifying matches, lost 5 of them (one was a humiliating 6:1 in Bolivia!) and they're still 4th placed in a group where the first 4 go directly to South Africa and the 5th gets to play in the play-offs against Trinidad or El Salvador.
Portugal are also awful, won only 2 of the 7 matches, lost only 1, and they're too 4th placed, but they're 4th in a group where only the 1st placed goes to South Africa while the 2nd placed will go to the play-offs against France, Croatia, Ukraine, Russia, Germany or the likes.

Equally weak ? My team just beat Uruguay and Egypt (Egypt has won 1 - 0 against Italy). Do you know what are you talking about ? Do you know Africa ?

You're maybe right, but Africa isn't weak

Uruguay are no great shakes right now and Italy were terrible in the friendly confederations cup. you actually think that quality wise any team other than Ivory Coast and Ghana would qualify from any european group?

Algeria could qualify, they have same points as Egypt eventhough they play later

(ps: My team bate the RFA of Rumenigge in 82; so no we aren't weak)

Yes, I'm for real and everybody that are from Africa knows that
Everyone in Africa know that you are for real? Did they touch your butt? :p

joking aside, you are right about Africa. It's either Morocco or Cameroon, Algeria or Egypt, Tunisia or Nigeria, and it's been worse than this too sometimes.. Same can be said about Europe, and specially this year: Denmark, Sweden, Portugal or Hungary, only two can survive, Turkey Spain Belgium Bosnia, same here, Ukraine Croatia England, crazy huh?

But for South America's system, it's nothing but a joke..

Italy will do as italy do, they will qualify, look terrible, scrape through the groups before actually waking up to the fact they are in a major tournament
i agree with you... african teams arent that good especially that they have lame coaches.
Ivory coast has great players but they have no tactics.. thats why egypt always beats them.
compared to Europe.. yes african teams are very weak.
Croatia, Denmark, Sweden and such middle class European teams are much better than all african teams

But this time, when they wake up they will realize that they are stuck with Zambrotta who lost it, Marchionni who's bad, Palombo, Pepe, Oddo, Barzagli, Panucci, Bonera and Pazzini, who are all average players.

They shouldn't be underestimated of course but it's not the old Italy and I don't expect anything big from them...and ESPECIALLY without Cassano and Amauri.
