about the deal,it's probably the first time i've heard of an english club participating in co-ownership of players...

anyhow i don't think chelsea will settle with kezman, drogba and gudjohnsen, unless they plan on making another buy before next season.

Its like going from the wonderfull football game, to kick and run/rugby football, of course it goes to hell.
Gordan Stracham said It best CRASH, BANG WALLOP:D

I might not like the style of football in the UK but the three major leagues are around the same level no matter the way football is played.

they'll settle with three. they had four last season and the likes of mutu suffered..lack of game time etc...i dont think they'll want that happen again. The only thing i dont get is why they would want to sign kezman as well as drogba, sell crespo, a player who scored a lot for them and keep gudjonsen. Kezman, drogba and gudjonsen are all main strikers, surely Mutu is needed as a support striker. Lampard isnt enough from the middle for creativity and can duff and robben both play at the same time?

anyway, on a loan, mutu could very well save juve in the lack of creatvity department.

i'd rather we bought him outright or secured an option to buy him(in full, not half;)) at the end of the season.i don't like the idea of co-ownership when it comes to big name players.

I think the meaning with co-ownership for moggi, is just to loan him in 1 or 2 years for free. Then he probably wont buy rest of him, but just sell him again... Sneaky Bastard.

Possibly yeah. With Miccoli on the right, and Mutu on the left, there wouldn't be a problem getting balls into the box, which Trezeguet certainly needs. But I still miss the days of a natural playmaker (Zidane).

Or we could play a 4-2-3-1, which is my favourite if Mutu comes.

-------------------Trezeguet----------------

-----Nedved ------- Mutu ------ Miccoli----

----------------Emerson Blasi---------------

Zambrotta Thuram Leggrotaglie Zebina

What about Forsell or Carlton Cole?

both have been allowed to stay on at their current clubs for another year iirc.

they aren't world class strikers anyway, and none of them are support forwards either.unless mourinho plans on playing with only 1 forward i don't see how he can survive with three.

Goal.com Exclusive: Mutu To Be Juventino Within 36 Hours-Agent
8/5/2004 1:12:00 PM
Adrian Mutu’s agent Andrea Pretti exclusively confirmed to Goal.com that the Chelsea player is on the verge of becoming a Juventus player.
“The situation is clear. Chelsea want to loan the player out (with the same conditions they loaned Crespo to AC Milan). I spoke with Mutu and he says Juventus are his first choice. Seen as we don’t want to create any problems with Juve, we will only speak to them” said Pretti.

Pretti also shed light on how much time he believes the deal will be completed in.

”I’m leaving for London this evening, within 24-36 hours everything will be completed,” he said.

The Romanian forward is the player Juventus are looking for to boost their attack, that currently only has Fabrizio Miccoli as an alternative to the starting duo composed by Alessandro Del Piero and David Trezegeut.

Yes he is, its a good loan deal, with the possibility to sign next summer if he is good. Mutu is good and i like him, but this excludes Gilardino's chanches of joining Juve and thats just very sad!, but Mutu is the best second choice.

Premier League 2003/2004 Chelsea 6
Serie A 2002/2003 Parma 18
Serie A 2001/2002 Hellas Verona 12
Serie A 2000/2001 Hellas Verona 4
First Division 1999/2000 Dinamo Bucarest 18
Serie A 1999/2000 Inter 10
First Division 1998/1999 Arges 4
First Division 1997/1998 Arges 4
First Division 1996/1997 Arges 5

that's mutu's goals per season
not bad but the 6 goals in premiershit is due to injury and stuff
his last 2 seasons in serie A he tallied 30 goals!!!!
and that's for someone who is not an out and out striker

Not 4-2-3-1 i think since Del Piero shall play, but i think Capello will use the 4-3-3 as he has used many times before.

mutu-trezeguet-del piero

In case of one or two injured strikers, then a 4-4-2.
