Being misled by the hispanic ~ perhaps?... No, I'm not Spanish. :)

I understand you're not following the regular courses program. But what is it that you study? It could be important as regards to which foreign language to opt for.

My studies is about biology something....
BTW, I just made a wild guess......
    Where is your country?

Well I didn't make it. How the hell would I know?
You save it and better it in MS Paint if it's such a problem to you :D
EDIT: It said that this is a map of Europe in second languages as they are most often used to conduct business with. It also said that every nation in Europe is slowly shifting towards English.
    Feel better now?
Naah, dont get mad on me now......I just said that this card is bullshit cuz people learned German till Austro-Ugarian kingdom here.....also when we were aalies of Germany during WW2.....after the war, people startrd to abandon German language and started to learn English....mostly. For example,my grandparents know German fluently(partly cuz my grandfather was in Luftwaffe,nevermind...),my mother speaks a little bit....and I know shit about it.

That goes for Slovenia,Croatia,Srerbia,Poland and so.....times change.

    And for "ilovemarek"......Im from Croatia

Biology? Well then I guess it doesn't really matter. Germany seems the bigger market though.

    I'm from Brussels, Belgium.

Regarding the map Erik provided us with, I concur with Barkuss. Neither in Greece do they still speak German. Those of a certain age can, but the others have all abandoned it for English (that is, when they actually know a second language).

Yikes, that's one sucky book :D

Alright, point taken about the map :lazy:

This is of more use then; a map of the language families. What languages are related to German and Russian respectively:

Actually Finnish is said to be very close to Hungarian, we both belong to Finno-Ugric linguistic family...

Rubbish. German can be loads of fun.

Well, Austrian German anyway. One of my flatmates is Austrian. They have these cool words.

Tomato (ENG) = Tomate (GER) = Paradeiser (AUS)

Cool slang too. He learned me the following expression: "Du bist a geistiges Znichtele" which means "You're mentally skinny", it's a classy way of saying someone is a dumbfuck :D

The first map was....well just a load of crap I have to say.

I have a German test tomorrow and...well...I speak Norwegian fluent and English, but I find German grammar and even the language so hard.

Everyone hates the german language here....It's almost compulsary here....either that or French.

    Both hard....believe me Taiwan boy..
