Well, don't get me started with that. And I'm biased anyway.

Perhaps it was our fault that we couldn't cap him in the U-16's.

By the way, Rossi is not an Italian-American. He's an American-Italian, because his first nationality by law was with the US.
Andy,

I know this one is hard to take for you (and being an American I fully understand your point), but if anyone is entitled to play for the Azzurri it has got to be Rossi. In my opinion he really is in a situation in which he could simply pick a team. If he happens to pick Italy, I personally understand that.

I love the idea !!
With Amauri and Osvaldo in attack, with Camoranesi and Ledesma in midfield and hopefully with Maxwell (didn't play for Brasil yet) in defense, the Italian team will be really strong.

I can also suggest Pele from Inter (yet to play for Portugal), Gourcuff (yet to play for France), Digao (Kaka's brother) and Papa Waigo (yet to play for Senegal).

Azzuri NT at world cup 2010

Buffon
Oddo-Digao-Cannavarao-Maxwell
Camoranesi-Pele-Ledesma-Gourcuff
Amauri (Taddei)-Papa Waigo (Osvaldo)
Coach: Donadoni

Mouthwatering !

I think Gourcuff has recieved a callup. Not 100% but i remember him being called up for the Senior side at least once. I don't think he played tho.

Man, Del Piero - Toni would be the sickest bloody duo in Austria & Switzerland this summer, they'd compliment each other perfectly, only if Fagadoni realized that :wallbang:

PS Well, Villa - Torres could be pretty close too :D

As long as Chiellini, Del Piero, Camoranesi, Iaquinta and Buffon make it, I'll be happy. Also I think it would be crazy for Donadoni to start Milan's midfield (Milan has sucked this year with Gattuso, Ambrosini and Pirlo). De Rossi and Aquilani should start in the middle with Camoranesi and Perrotta on the wings. Cannavaro and Chiellini in the back would be the most deadly duo, while Toni and Del Boy up front would murder teams.

if he does play the milan mids, he is dumber than i thought. the reason is because he would put him being a milanista before the team and nation.

Pirlo has to start, theres no two ways about it, he's too good to be sitting on any bench, i agree that ambrosini and gatusso need to be dropped though.
