I've been doing pretty well in Ligue 1, winning 2 out of the last 3 league championships, the UEFA cup 2 years running, winning the French Cup, and coming second in the Coupe de la Ligue. I've got a huge squad, as I picked up loads of young somewhat-promising players on free transfers, of course few of them turn out good enough, but I've picked up some rather decent players, including Alexandre Coef, france u-21s captain. Of course, having Henri Flory in the squad helps

Probably not, I have 9.2.0.

I have the default guy. Damiano. But I've noticed a fair amount of staff nabbing. In 4 seasons I must have lost 5 staff to other clubs signing them on. At one point I made Rampulla assistant, which I thought would be a promotion from GK coach. But a couple of years later some other club signed him from me as a GK coach. :confused2

it's completely screwed up when it comes to staff, impossible to get top staff, and other teams sign them way too easily. Damiano's alright, check out Ricardo Moniz. also, upgrade to 9.3, it makes the game MUCH better

work in the data editor?! what kind of work would that be? you might be able to use 9.3 with your old database though, i think you have the option to select which database to use. also, you should try the FMRTE, it's nice to be able to edit without starting all over!

You know, "fixing" stuff I was unhappy with the nasty transfers so I figured I'd maximize my revenue. I maxed out the stadium capacity and the ticket prices and now I can shop without saving up

Well I've often done this. Slashing the reputation of players that I can't stand, that's an old favorite. Roma usually comes out greatly dimished. I didn't do that much this time though, I only do it when I feel the game is unjust and makes my enemies out to be better than they are.

It's funny how that works, because the game is fun because it's real. Now if I feel some things are just wrong I change them, but if I change too much it's no longer real and it's not fun anymore. So there's a line there somewhere.

sounds like you're getting the hang of it and I agree, it's a fine line between merely "fixing" the game and "fixing" the game moggi-style. once you've screwed with it too much, it definitely loses something

Nada. The first thing I always do is set-up my staff, always before players. And correct, Moniz is the shiznit.
