My understanding was there was a clause in the contract which allowed either party to rescind it within a week or so of the Euro's finishing.

I would have to say "no" to an extension. You can't stand on the sidelines and say that you're satisfied with your back line after a season like last. If things keep going the way they're going, Juventus will be striving for fifth with Udinese and Sampdoria, nevermind top four.

i voted for no... i think it's too early to discuss an extension...
last season we finished 3rd and it was a good result but now i want to see what we can achive this year... how far we can get in cl and in serie a... i don't think that we will win anything this year but still a 2nd place in serie a and quarter final in cl would be awesome... but if we fail it's ranieri's fault because he chooses the players for the squad and after our weak mercato (in my opinion) it's his fault when we don't have enough quality
but only time will tell us...

I actually admire Ranieri's work, despite some of his tactical and selection mistakes.

The 3 men above him are the real villains. Ranieri is a respectable person who knows a thing or two about football, unlike these three. I believe the only special Ranieri's request was Sissoko and look how big of a hit he became.
