Should Beppe Marotta be sacked? (12 Viewers)

Should Marotta be sacked?

  • Yes - his signings are an embarrassment to the club

  • No - he just got us to the Scudetto and we should see where that takes us

  • WTF - When did we suddenly inherit aching ladyparts like interisti?

Because we won the Scudetto because of Conte, and we shall win it again because of him. He made our players hungry again, noot Marotta.

We definetely shouldn't extend his contract and look for a replacement next summer. I would love if we get a non italian SD.
Marotta provided the squad for him to win it with. That's his job - providing a squad to win us titles, not signing strikers that will please the fans or even score a lot of goals... as long as we win, all our goals could come from Buffon and it wouldn't matter (as much as I'm pissed off about Bender).

That's the last thing I would want.

I think Beppe is a fine DS but is out of his depth here. He came from Samp and that was a decent side but he has no experience making a side competitive for CL.

We are not here to make jokes, how can Bendtner score 20 goals?
Have you watched him at Arsenal? I did and he is awful, cant dribble, cant score for $#@!, and arsenal played game similar to ours with making a lot of chances
fair enough. but he should still be given a fair chance to show his worth.

my point is that while we are right to be disappointed about not getting a good striker, final judgement should be withheld until we see how these new signings perform.

for now i think we should just withold on extending his contract and preventing him from making any significant transactions

For the same reason, I'd like to sack him this season, despite the scudetto win. The reason being, that he cannot sign a certain calibre of player. And from next year, that's all we are going to need given that the teams foundations are well and truly in place.
To me, the calibre of the player doesn't count as long as the results are there. That's why I say see out this season, and if we get by without our Cavani, then he's done his job.

Who is available who you'd want over Marotta?
Why do we always sound like Marrotta has a list of credits to his name? What were his qualifications before we hired him?? Apart from qualifying for the CL with Sampdoria?? Hiring Daniel Prade, Sabatini is hardly any worse than what we have at this point: a guy who can't sign anybody above 15.5m euros. Or 18, for Matri, was it!?

Look what both have done. Prade ruined Roma with average signings and Sabatini is following suit.

Marino is the one I'd like as he's a Juve fan and a very good DS. However Marotta for me has done well.

Before people say about the money spent on Isla, let's see him perform first, as when that happens people will be raving about the signing. Isla is one of the best in his position. Hence the high cost.

Then why sign Bendtner at all?? Its pretty obvious he knew there's a glaring issue on top of the attack. He went out to the press and spoke about it. ALOT. Even if this team wins the scudetto, what's he going to do next year when we'll need three quality players in total?? The Market conditions won't get any easier. The man is out of his depth.

Although I'm extremely annoyed with Marotta at the moment, I will say two things in his defence:-

    1) The Italian league is extremely unappealing at present, none of the other big teams are attracting talent from abroad either.

    2) As a result of this, all transactions are occurring between Italian based teams. But nobody is gonna sell their prized assets on the cheap or to a direct rival when they know there's a possibility one of the oil teams could pay a larger sum.

Out of his depth and the team he made, just won the league unbeaten

Juventus will 90% time purchase within Italy, it's always been this way and there is enough quality players in this league for us to sustain this concept.

I think of Marotta as the Ranieri of DSs. Good enough for building a foundation, but not to take it to the next level. Yeah, we won the Scudetto, but we did that without a proper goalscoring striker. A top team in any league has a proper striker. Even Marotta acknowledged that fact before the mercato began. Winning Serie A is going to be an easy affair considering the quality of the league. It's time for us to seize the initiative to make our squad comparable to that of the bigwigs in Europe. And I don't think Marotta has the skill to do that.

look at napoli last year. thats your answer

    hint: depth
That's a fallacy. Isla is not coming here as a depth signing, he is coming here to replace Lichtsteiner in the 352. For depth, Licht already had Caceres, and don't say Caceres is only a Cb, coz if he was we wouldn't be paying Lucio 2.5m wages.
