Should Beppe Marotta be sacked? (4 Viewers)

Should Marotta be sacked?

  • Yes - his signings are an embarrassment to the club

  • No - he just got us to the Scudetto and we should see where that takes us

  • WTF - When did we suddenly inherit aching ladyparts like interisti?

Uhm, at this point of time yes I want him fired.

But in all fairness, we just won the Scudetto he made 3 great signings for our squad, signed some great youngsters but failed to sign a top striker in a static market where clubs didn't want to sell.

I think he should be given another chance. Or at least see how this season fairs out.
Those 3 great signings are not going to make this squad anymore effective than 1 striker would. There is absolutely no excuse, simply because this is the third year in a row it's gone down to the last day for our primary need. And even if we had failed to get the 'elite' players he promised us, the replace, net for the elite player should never have been a panic buy bought in a scuffle with a small club. Berbatov should have been bought the day JoJo rejected us, so it never came to this, if we were interested in him at all, and not waiting for whatever the market vomited into our headquarters.

Um, the DS is Conte's boss. So if the DS decides that he wants more say in the squad and signings, that's how it will be. It's just that Marotta has given Conte the room to work. Another DS may not.
Dude do you even get what i am saying ?coach decides the team..Conte wanted players for the 3-5-2 ,Marotta provided them. Its just as simple as that. Why would another DS come here to make a 'squad oevrhaul' when the foundation has already been laid ?thats just stupid thinking on you part.

Coach asks for a player of certain position and qualities ,DS's job is to provide him that whoever it may be.

Not if Agnelli decided otherwise. Conte can have a say in who leaves the club from his team, and to be honest a lot of it depends on the results of the season. If this team goes on to win the scudetto, a new DS, even if he supersedes Conte will not argue with that. But will help upgrade the quality, unlike Marrotta has been able to do.

I hope you guys know Marotta can only spend what Agnelli allows him too.

The money Marotta was able to spend wasn't enough to lure top strikers. The striker market was completely static. It would would take huge money to purchase a 'top striker'.

How do you guys know how much Marotta was given?

You make it seem like he had all the money in the world.

And Giovinco, Isla and Asamoah are upgrades to our team and we're definitely better.

For example, who would you replace Marotta with?

And why would we want to sack him if we win the Scudetto again?

Yep. However if we win the league again. Would we be failures? He's built a very strong squad to cope with three competitions this year.
The key word being built. What he has done this year, is similar to what he did last year. He built a squad for the 424 which became the 433 and evolved further. This year he's moved exactly like last year, nut this time only to build a squad to play the 352. The problems of this team will be exactly what they were last year, no matter which competition they're playing in.

here is a question.

if bentdner scores 20 goals in all competitions this season, should marotta be fired?

or is it all conte again?
We are not here to make jokes, how can Bendtner score 20 goals?
Have you watched him at Arsenal? I did and he is awful, cant dribble, cant score for shit, and arsenal played game similar to ours with making a lot of chances

so which DS is good at buying wc players, that clubs doesnt want to sell, for cheap?

someone better have some names
Thats the thing, nobody sells for cheap
And if Marotta is unable to buy expensice players he should not talk about that

Because we won the Scudetto because of Conte, and we shall win it again because of him. He made our players hungry again, noot Marotta.

We definetely shouldn't extend his contract and look for a replacement next summer. I would love if we get a non italian SD.

Can someone list all the players we signed in Marotta's tenure with the club. no need for the Primavera players.
Bonucci, Barzagli, Vidal, Pirlo, Matri, Vucinic, Giovinco, Asamoah, and Isla. The core of our squad.

There's also fails like Martinez, Motta, Ziegler, Elia, and Rinaudo.

Then there's the decents like: Giaccherini, Pazienza, Quagliarella and Pepe.

I'm probably missing some.

Edit: I might be wrong on some.

For the same reason, I'd like to sack him this season, despite the scudetto win. The reason being, that he cannot sign a certain calibre of player. And from next year, that's all we are going to need given that the teams foundations are well and truly in place.

Yes it was, but we went for improving the overall squad instead of splurging on one quality attacker.
Splurging? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the team was in place, when we went with an additional 30m to try and sign JoJo earlier this week. It's not like we didn't have the money. We didn't have the competency to close a target. There is nothing or nobody else left to blame here.
