ROME, Sept 23 (Reuters) - Two goals by David Trezeguet and one each by Alessandro Del Piero and Pavel Nedved gave Juventus a 4-0 win over Modena in Serie B on Saturday.

The victory allowed the club to continue chipping away at the points penalty they incurred in the Serie A match-fixing scandal, taking them to minus seven points from four matches, 17 points behind leaders Brescia, who beat Verona 1-0.

Juventus's relegation to the second division led to an exodus of their top players, but those who remained were a class apart against a workmanlike Modena team at Turin's Olympic Stadium.

Trezeguet opened the scoring in the 38th minute, getting the final touch after Federico Balzaretti nodded on from a corner, before setting up Del Piero to grab Juve's second goal on the break just before halftime.

The French international got his second goal midway through the second half, when he latched on to Marco Marchionni's pass and beat visiting keeper Giorgio Frezzolini from close range.

Former European Footballer of the Year Nedved headed in from a free kick to complete the rout in the 73rd minute.

In the other Serie B matches, Italy's oldest club Genoa rose to second in the division on nine points with a 2-0 win over Piacenza.

There was disappointment, however, for Napoli, who drew 1-1 with Triestina and now lie in midtable on five points. (yahoo)

    Nice game!
We have forwards that could compete in Serie A and CL. I was impressed with Paro. Doesn't take a lot of chances but makes great passes. Finally the defense was "solid".

The defence was solid from the previous game and this is starting from the defensive midfielders.

It is good that we are having our second clean sheet in a row.

Brescia & Lecce are the only remaining teams that we have not yet cut points off.

We are still 17 points from the top and 13points from the 6th position,
Brescia did as good as we did so far and Lemman will also do everything possible to second this:D

great convincing victories is good for our morale and intimidating for our opponents,we are on the right track,
but we souldnt loose concentration and already celebrate serie A,
we are still very far from there, 7 goals in two games only got us 6 points.
We sould keep fighting with the same fighting spirit till the end.
I hope that the team will keep this winning streak for a few months and we sould concentrate on winning every match, than winning some with great scores and then do some goaless draws, we already did a "mistake" that wont justify any celebrations yet.
I hope that our defenders get to know each other and keep our net safe against harder enemies.
    Hard games will come...
