this was to be expected as one of the toughest games and it was.Away to a full renato d'llara, facing a very good team. I was impressed that the bologna team was mostly made up of the players that were them in serie A two years ago.

back to juve, we r not playing at our best atm.Neddy's place is sorely missed and palladino can't possibly fill that void.Thats one of the reasons the midfield looked terrible. Also there were some patches of the game where the midfielders didnt even drop down to pick up the ball from the defenders to distribute.

the defense was a joke and was broken down from the middle at least 6 times and most of those resulted in one-on-one situations with gigi.

Gigi-MOM without a doubt, in the first half was saving balls left and right and continued to bail us out in the 2nd.Also he was supposed to go the award ceremony to get some award for the WC if am not mistaken, but he stayed to play the game :touched:, Grazie gigi.

Balza-We need some steady performances from Fedrico especially in defense so we can rely on him for the future.Hes doing well going forward but he leaves to much space behind him.

cheillini-he great in the one-on-one situations, very tough tackler and man marker. But he positioning is just plain bad.He going forward to press on the opponent and forgets about his place in the back.Hes doing well but needs to improve.

Boumsong-When i excuse cheillini for the positioning mistakes,i can't excuse him. He really needs to improve that part of his game. The defense was like a big hole for the Bolognese attackers.

Zebina-he did well covering in the back but he isn't useful doing anything else. But thats good enough for now,at least hes covering his tracks.

Zanetti-His work-rate is great but some of his passes weren't accurate. But overall he did well and wasn't lucky not to score from that header.

Paro-Solid game by matteo, and he even got forward a few times.I wanted to see more of that but i guess it was instructions for him to stay back more.We also need him to call for the ball more especially from the defenders, as we reverted for the long ball alot in this game.

camo-hope his injury isnt serious, he worked hard in the time he was on.Wanted to widen his play a bit as we were very narrow. But overall he was ok

palladino-I like him more as a forward,he is more effective imo.But his crosses were good on that left flank, but he needs to link up with the forwards more and try to cut inside more.

Alex-wasn't the best of games by the captain. He still shows u some skill but other than that he just wasted the freekicks and miss kicked a volley in the first half that should've been a goal.

Zalayeta-Probably his best game for a while now, even though he used his hand to score but he did well overall in the game and provided a good target for the team.Although he didn't link up as much with Alex but he even got shot from distance.

Biridenlli-I didnt understand this sub, but he did fairly well imo.Provided some needed width but he played a full back not a winger as he didn't link up at all with the other midfielders.

marchisio-didnt have much impact on the game.

Treze-got in offside positions a couple of times after he came in.He got a good run and tried to get into scoring positions, which is promising.I wanted him to score, as we need his scoring touch badly.

DD-I didnt understand the Birindelli sub as he had guzman on the bench, who is a naturall winger who could provide a better option imo. Also i dont think the chiellini boumsong partnership is the best option. If kovac is fit we need him to start.
Anyway there is something wrong in the team and he needs to find a solution.

DD ignores Bologna fury

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bologna have reacted angrily to the many refereeing errors that characterised Juve’s victory, but Didier Deschamps insists it was a deserved result.

“We’ve had enough of this type of refereeing,” slammed President Alfredo Cazzola after the 1-0 home defeat this evening.

“This sort of situation has got to stop. There were so many huge mistakes in quick succession, from Marcelo Zalayeta’s handling offence to the phantom goal and a booking so that Claudio Bellucci will miss the next game at Brescia.”

Juventus ran out 1-0 winners from the Stadio Dall’Ara thanks to a Zalayeta strike that did not appear to cross the line.

It’s also possible the Uruguayan handled the ball as he chested it down, while Bologna were denied a strong penalty shout in the first half.

“Refereeing errors can happy, but the officials must also have the decency to keep quiet and avoid going on television,” said a cynical Coach Renzo Ulivieri.

“I liked the way Bologna played. Juve never leave you much space, but we had our chances too. I hope we can manage to recharge our batteries in time for Brescia on Friday.”

If the Rossoblu were livid, then the mood in the Turin camp was more serene and Deschamps shook off the controversial incidents.

“It’s very difficult to have a clear view of anything in Italian football,” said the tactician.

“Perhaps that’s easy for me to say after a win, but it is a contact sport and not easy to see certain moves clearly.

“As for the play, we took the initiative and held it throughout, while we had the most important goal scoring opportunities. Bologna are certainly the most complete squad in Serie B and they caused us a few problems, but we never really ran risks.”

spot on everything ... especially agree with chiellini, he still needs alot to be a good centreal defender, and onestly id like to see him back on his natural position, as balzareti still leaves so many spaces behind.. boumsong keeps creaiting chances for our opposition, in serie a we would be conceding more goalss because of him.. however when kovac is present i think they work better toghether and kovac is a good leader to boumsong

It hit his shoulder, not his arms. Its funny how the media are only using 1 angle to prove its a handball, because the others show that he hit it with his shoulder.

As for the goal line clearance. The fact the players foot clearly passes over the line obviously indicates the ball was in.

Also, in the spirit of fairness, the Bologna players should receive bans for rushing to the ref in a similar fashion as Nedved. Of course they wont, and the media wont even mention that. In fact, they are now attempting to undermine are dominance, despite the fact prior to that game the calls always went against Juve. They only see what they want. The Italian football media is pathetic.

Lots of drinking last night, so I only got to finish watching the first half. :pint: :D

I'll post my usual match report when I've seen the whole thing.

But I can say this much from the first half: Gigi rocked. Wish I could say the same for anyone in attack.

so much for the destruction many here predicted.....

let me ask everyone....what team have we been able to go out and destroy, since we've been in Serie B ??

the answer is none !!!

Buffon did what was necessary to preserve the shutout, and was fortunate not to have a pk awarded when he took out Marrazina

Boumsong didnt have his usual brain-fart, but that doesnt mean he had a good game either. Marrazina got thru him early on, and should have been awarded a penalty. If this joker cant mark Marrazina, then who can he mark ??

Chiellini impressed me as a CB, and maybe the switch should become permanent

Zebina makes some nice plays, then does something stupid...needs consistency !!!

Balzaretti played well defensively, but needs some work if he is going to push forward to help out the offense

Camoranesi was good until he got injured

Birindelli is barely a defender, so I have no idea why he was in the midfield. He can cross the ball a bit, but looked lost the rest of the time

Paro controlled the midfield pretty well, this was one of his best games, IMO. If he is going to take long distance shots, he better start practicing them more often...otherwise pass the damn ball !!!

Zanetti played pretty well, and gave us a physical presence in the midfield. Was robbed of a headed goal by Antonioli

Palladino is a forward, not a middie, and I have no idea why DD keeps putting him there (reminds me of CRAP'S little "experiment" with Mutu, which was a bust !!)

Zalayeta proved that he sucks, by not being able to score a goal at point-blank range !!! That was NOT a goal, and we were fortunate to get the call. Zala has 1 good game every 3 years....can I have his salary ?? I promise I can do the same !!!:D

Del Piero missed a great opportunity to score, but otherwise played ok...should not have been subbed off, Zala should have !!

Trezeguet needs to work on staying onsides, and making the most of his chances. Serie B is a bigger challenge than he expected

Didier Deschamps starts 1 useless player (Zala), and plays 2 others out of position (Palla and Biri). What was the use of putting Biri in the midfield ?? Why not put Palla up top instead of Zala ?? How about Boji ?? Why sub out DP and not the ineffective Zala ?? DP was pissed, and I can understand why !!

We were GIFTED a goal, and its plain to see that without Neddy, this team doesnt function correctly. Our guys look like they have lead feet once they get near the opposing goal, and cant finish for shit !!! The young guys are NOT the long term answer, and its only a matter of time before we start getting our bell rung in B, because our guys are not showing that they are a step above the other teams, like everyone thinks, or wants to believe.

These tactics and our gameplay will not cut it in Serie A, and I solely blame DD

DD was quite right to ignore the idiot!........

It's a pity Gigli doesn't follow DD's example. After all DD has more knowledge of football than him.

Great pic! Do I get to kick the ice away once the noose is tightened around BFC82's neck? Do I???:eyebrows: :eyebrows:

I completely disagree with this. Zalayeta scores the winning goal( contrary what you think I beleive he played a great game) and that somehow proves he sucks? Can you explain the logic of that?

Del Piero was wasteful with his opportunities to score, but he was not even just ok (just being ok also means a bad performance really), he was simply poor. Maybe his worst performance of the season. DD was completely right in keeping Zalayeta, who was our only positive aspect offensively at that point, on the pitch. I'm really amazed how you call for Zalayeta's head when he brought us the 3 points yesterday. Irregular goal or not, he did his job. If it was faulty it was the ref's mistake, not Zalayeta's.

juventus never play great footbal, not even in serie a... about didi im not so confident like you.. i think he is not the right coach to take juventus back at the levels juve deserve.... however as we now juventus always rely on 1-0 wins , its in our DNA... and we also have to keep in mind that many times in serie B the team do not give there best, because its like from one moment or another we will always score... However, the level in serie a will be similar to napoli, genoa and bologna, meaning we only hav won one game from the 4 available, the goal wasnt gifted in my opinion it was a goal, but bologna had a penalty... this shows that we are still way short from the standard we need for serie a.. we dont have a subsitute for nedved, which we need for next year and the club doesnt seem mentioning any players who can replace nedved, we have chiellini playing out of place for no fucken good reason, we have injuries which pop up from everywere, and thats not only a coincidence... and we just want to hide reality by beliving that de ceglie wil lturn out to be roberto carlos, paro and marchisio wil lturn out to be pirlo and gattuso, and so onn

Ladies are so biased in their judgement:mute:
It's not bias, it's geometry :D

Anyway, as I repeatedly said, it's not like I wanted the goal to be regular. :p

Pathetic Bolognesi would have deserved also an offside goal by us to be awarded and regular one by them to be disallowed :agree: :eyebrows:
