It was not an easy match IMO. Bologna did well in the first half and causes us some problems. Yet, the team had the right attitude in the second half and played very well, had dangerous opportunities. Despite the controversy surrounding the goal - which i'm considering totally correct because the foot of the bologna player was inside the net and behind the line- I think juventus didn't rob the 3 points, it's a deserved win after a great effort. I was waiting for de ceglie to come in instead of birindelli but it's ok. the whole team did well.

First choice of the match : zalayeta.
Second choice : buffon
third choice : zanetti (the god of midifield)

yepp but didi seems to play birindelli always.. full back, central defender, now also right midfielder... im not sure de ceglie was on the bench yesterday.. i expected kovac to replace camoranesi, with chiellini taking his position on left defence and balzaretti playng winger as he is always dangerous coming forward with the ball.. however we wonn soo well done to didi also

Kovac had a slight injury, so it wasn't DD's choice not to play him...

And De Ceglie wasn't even called up for the match. He may have some primavera matches...

And people still don´t trust Boum-Boum, they want to shoot him.

i am one of those who really hate boum- boum cos mark 83 his mistakes are fatal i think mmy mistake is not putting soo much hope in him to get better but we shall see how things turn out when the season ends.

TBH I think Juve should train Chiellini as centre-back and let him play there and buy Barzagli, that can be our duo.

Boumsong and Criscito/Givet can be on the bench as subs.

Boumsong had a rough time in Premier League but I think he could do better in Juventus when we return to Serie A, even Thuram didn´t play like a God in first season in Juventus.

Of course Boum will have to improve his tactical knowledge and positioning.

about boumsong.. just watch yesterdays highlighets, in 1 minute marazina went alone against buffon , in the incident of the penalty which was not given to bologna, boumsong was marking marazina , and phew seconds later boumsong was marking bellucci, whom passed him easily and had his close range shot saved by buffon, and these two incidents happened in the space of phew seconds... the rest he had a good game but such mistakes in serie a are imeddiately punished

I watched the game live and it was not a hand ball but i saw the replay about 7 timesa and i never thought it went in. In fact when the players stopped at first i thought that the ref gave a handball but then i saw the players celebrating.

Buffon saved our asses a number of times and the proclaimed penalty wasn't a penalty as Marazzina looked for the penalty, dragged his foot and moved it so Buffon hits it.

Boumsong played an ok match, He was uneasy for the first 10 minutes but than began playing well and even dribbled some players till midfield.

Chiellini should turn into a full time centre defender! If we do buy Barzagli and get Criscito back we will have the three best italian prospects for centre defenders. He made good interceptions but tried to give to many passes with the outside of his left boot.

Zebina played ok as well. Made some good interventions and some good attacks as well. He just needs to be calmer and not try to do as many mistakes.

Balzaretti marked his player well but IMO should have been put as left midfielder with Palladino going on the right after Camo got injured. He is improving his defensive skills but can still get better

Camoranesi did well till he got injured. When he went off i thought we would lose as he is our most creative player now that we dont have Nedved.

Birindelli did well out of position after coming on for Camo. Did well in attack and even helping Zebina out when he fucked up.

Paro Had some shots from outside the box. Passed the ball well but committed some fouls in the middle of the park.

Zanetti did ok for his first game back and against quite a big team. Had a header which was looping in but Antonioli managed to keep it out.

Marchisio wasnt on for long. Didn't do much. Only thing he did of particular distinction was a shot from outside the box

Palladino dribbled the right back a number of times but always had to go back on himself to cross with his right which is why i think he should have gone as a right midfielder instead of Camo. Some nice actions. he could be the next nedved if we train him properly

Zalayeta Started well with nice shots, passing and tricks. Won most of the balls in the air but Del Piero was hardly there to be on the end of them. Went quiet after half time but then scored that controversial goal. Hope he can build on these

Del Piero quiet game by his standards. Had a glorious chance in the first half but missed the ball by himself from a corner flicked on by Camo. Didn't seem happy at coming off but i think DD made the right choice

Trezeguet back from injury but missed two glorious chances. He was offside both times but still missed. Just from that one could see that he is not yet up to match fitness.

Didier Deschamps made the right choices in the end even though at the time most Juventini thought that he made mistakes. Bravo DD!

These are based on my opinions and what i remember.
