Once again I asked myself: was Nedved playing??

Once again I asked myself: this is the great Zlatan?? He made 12 passes and missed 13 of them...got slapped in the neck and got a call..then slapped back and walked away scott free.

Once again the Alessandro Del Piero demonstrates why he deserves to be on the starting team....if Capello is going to bench Del Piero then what the hell does one do with Ibra??? Put him in the GIOVANILE (under 17 team??).

By the way, these were three points won by sheer luck and blind eyes...
two questionable calls ... the first take down was the iffy..in the second a Juve defender actually KICKED the Udinese striker in the box while he had the ball.

Disgusting way to end a game....

It seems that Gian didn't have a good debut with us...

And el27beh Capello should consider thinking about the holy places of Neddy and Zlatan in the starting 11...

I agree with you about your first two points (Zlatan and DP)

But if you are referring to Canna's Foul in the 89th minute, I really dont see it as a penalty. Of course you might say or think I am biased, but I could say the same about you, So I wish we dont go there. I literally replayed the play ten times. The ball was heading directly to Cannavaro and he was in the motion of clearing the ball like any vetran defender would, he was totally unaware of Baretto behind him trying to reach the ball before him. But Baretto got between the ball and Cannavaro. This is the way I see it, especially if you see the replay of the regular side camera but in slow motion.

What a pathetic performance in the second half and in reality we probably should not have won this match. Udinese completely out played us in the second 45 and what I can't understand is the point of fielding three defensive midfielders right from the start of the match.

First half we only created two real chances and luckily Vieira was there to finish...he has been the best player thus far at Juventus by a country mile. Apart from the lack of inspiration in attack I thought we defended well in the first half, as Udinese could not really make a breakthough and were struggling to find Di Michele and Di Natale. In the second half the tide started to change as Udinese were finding better passes up the pitch and they certainly outworked and outplayed us all over the pitch. They were unlucky not to score as our defense suddenly started to make some mistakes and even though we had three defensive midfielders lacing the pitch we started to lose 50/50 balls and conceded space to the Udine attack. Not to mention Udinese probably should have had a penalty..

Why Capello has to start with three defensive midfielders is beyond me...I don't care if we won or not Giannichedda has no purpose playing a holding role in midfield when Emerson is playing on the right. This crap will not always work and we were lucky today that we took one of our three whole chances to win us the match.

Why Capello did not start Camoranesi in this match but fielded him against Ascoli is beyond me....why Emerson was playing right midfield doesn't make any sense...why we field Nedved instead of Mutu is quite ridiculous and I guess he will be wasting away on the bench waiting to be sold in January or whenever...really a waste of talent and Mutu would add so much to our attack but Capello is not even willing to take a look. Even though we fielded three defensive midfielders Udinese were still very much able to outplay us in the last 30 minutes and if we played a better team today we would have lost.

We might as well just stick with the straight 4-4-2 instead of the crap we fielded today...at least we are able to create chances down the flanks and take the game to the opposition a bit more and actually look like we want to win.

Abbiati actually did not worry me today so that is indeed a plus.

Blasi was having a hard time containing Di Natale and it was just a matter of time before the latter scored on us. With Emerson playing right midfield he sort of stopped the opposition before they could reach Blasi..perhaps a good thing.

Kovac actually saved our asses when he headed the ball away from goal after a nice Di Natale move. Without that clearance Udinese would have scored...solid performance.

Cannavaro was solid apart from striking Barreto late in the second half...probably should have been a penalty.

Zambrotta was decent in defense however did not get down the flank very much as Del Piero was favoring the left side.

Emerson was sloppy during parts of this match and however he was being played out of position for some reason..

Vieira was our best player once again IMO and was a force in midfield. Throughout the match I do not remember him giving the ball away once...his passes were clicking, his tackles were good, and nobody could strip the ball away from him when he had it...awesome performance.

Nedved was rather quiet and was playing on the right side of the pitch. Not sure why he started in place of Camoranesi and I think Mutu would give us much more in midfield and attack.

Del Piero was fairly quiet however he had some posession down the left flank and made a few combinations with Zambrotta and Vieira.

Ibrahimovic gave the ball away every time he recieved it for a span of 30 minutes in the second half. He was offsides multiple times and gave the ball away more than doing something useful with it. Another quite poor performance for Zlatan but Capello keeps him on the pitch at all times...while Mutu sits.

Zalayeta made one nice run however do you think he gives us more than Mutu? I certainly don't.
