They are still playing it good,I wonder if you watched the panaitinakos(bad spelling) match.
Yes I did watch the match, and Panathinaikos probably could not beat Ascoli at the moment.. Fiorentina ran Udinese off the park last Sunday with an attacking 4-4-2 system...are we that inferior of a team that we have to resort to three defensive midfielders? Sheesh..

ten matches ago.so what's the big deal.we are looking to the stats and papers now?so you think Udinese never change the last years?nice logic..
No, but I think Udinese are weaker than last year and that our tactics were crap...that is all that matters. You stated Udinese always troubles the bigger sides, something not entirely true..

well I thank God Capello is smart enough to play so,If you look at my first post in this thread,I was expecting an open match and a 3-3 draw that could happen if we played the way you wanted..anyway the point is,we took the 3 points no need for fantasies,Udinese is a strong side, and we beat them at home Period.
And we could have also lost this match if luck was not on our side...

This something I hate...complacency. Just because we won doesn't mean we played well and certainly doesn't mean there were no flaws in our performance. Whenever we play like crap and still win we have a right to criticise our play and tactics, especially if those tactics make absolutely no sense.

Ok I say it He did his job if that will please you :D
so why still criticize him?wouldn't you prefer an ugly football with 3 points (sometimes),than beautifull atacking football that ends with a draw?plus he rested the other players too..

In terms of personality,I agree with you Del piero has a better class to handle these things than the other two.but my point is we have to trouble makers in the team that will never get along well together, who would you choose?the one with great skills,or the average player? If Mutu was ok with his personality I would say keep him at bench ,that will not hurt anyone.but I don't think he will agree that, and he doesn't have the class to be a starter with Juve
I'm not the only one who thinks that Capello made mistakes and I can criticise him if I feel like, just like you can criticise Del Piero if you feel like. I'm not asking for beautiful attacking football as I already stated, but a different approach would have IMO seen us do better last night.

As far as I'm concerned Mutu is more than an average player and he deserves a chance. I'm sure that he and Zlatan can get along if they both get the playing time that they deserve and atm Mutu isn't getting that.

how could you know that?you analized the whole Udinese season with matches??and I didn't even mentioned that they beat Roma away.. Dude, team like Palermo,Udinese,Parma,Lazio,Roma these middle teams are not that easy to beat in home or away.they always give hard times to the greater teams ,If you are underrating this win,I can't argue with you.

you know what thing I hate?when people like you still criticize, while we are going on 100% win..I don't know what makes you do that..but you are right, that doesn't makes sense

I like to apreciate things Stu, I am not the type of person that wantseverything and fantasies.I remember very well, there were fools were criticizing Capello, they even said that he was sent on a mission to destroy juventus :howler: ,and what he did was to win us Scudetto and losing In CL against the champion (His crime)..

This season,If you noticed like me,we are playing much better so far IMO,just give him time,he is doing a great job,so why to criticize?he was the same with Roma, first season didn't do well, but the other seasons ,Roma was playing beautifull, remember?

I agree that Giannichedda took away space for the Udinese midfield...however that was all he was able to do. He basically sat in front of the defense and waited to intercept through balls that Emerson could easily handle while actually making himself available for passes and getting himself involved with the match. Emerson could do the job of Giannichedda easily while also help push forward and complete passes around the pitch. It's like we stepped on the pitch yesterday wanting to defend a 1-0 lead for the final ten minutes of a match...makes no sense. We were essentially playing with 10 and half players IMO with Giannichedda sitting in midfield.
Just what i said...;)

Posted a reply in another thread that should have been here too....

Just with the loss of Pizarro Udinese is a lesser team than they were last year. But even with Pizarro in the team there is no reason why Juventus should be fielding three defensive midfielders...I mean FFS we have the best midfield duo of Vieira and Emerson already. Those two players are quite capable of shutting down the midfield by themselves...they don't need Giannichedda's help of doing nothing in front of the defense.

And it seems that by your logic we should play with three defensive midfielders against Samp, Palermo, Parma, Lazio, Roma and all other decent clubs...is that right? Sure, they could all pose us problems but fielding three defensive midfielders won't help us solve anything...just takes up space and adds nothing to our game. Three is just redundant and when we have skillful players like Camoranesi and Mutu sitting on the bench for a third DM in Giannichedda I don't care what anybody says...its friggin BS. We aren't that weak of a side.

I think it's better to criticise than just nod our heads in unison to the tune of "JUVE RULES," to use one of Nick's lines. Fact of the matter is we were terrible and we should not hide the fact just because some fans can't take a little criticism of their own team and coach.

Doesn't it look like Emerson is just a tad too in the moment? Looks like he's hugging his father whom he hasn't seen for 7 years, not celebrating a goal. :D

now Andy, I know this will sound stupid, and you will call me a bad fan or whatever, but I real think any critic at this point is laughable! We have a 100% record and in games with teams like Ascoli or Udinese, nothing count beside the result. Specially at this point, the beginning of the season, any talk of not being on form or 1:0 results is not important for me!

As I already said, beautiful football isn't a necessity for me but when Capello makes what are IMO foolish tactical and selection decisions I can comment on them if I want to. You may be happy as long as we win but if we continue to perform like we did in Udine something needs to change in order for us to reach our main objective; the Champions League.

I'm watching the game right now and although I'm only 15 minutes far, it's obvious that this Juventus cannot do without a player like Alessandro Del Piero. Whenever he touches the ball Juventus are so much more creative. As for Zlatan, he has already done some horrible things in these 15 minutes, but he has also given a great assist to Nedved and has taken the ball of Udinese players for a couple of times. Inconsistant to say the least, but not as bad as some of you pictured it. Though I have only watched the first fifteen minutes of course.

"Never change a winning team", right? Well that's a load of bullshit. Coaces are there to prevent problems and look forward. Not playing Mutu is going to cause Juventus problems sooner or later.

Zlatan's first half was much better than his second.

I just saw DP chesting the ball, then playing an Udinese player through his legs only to be fouled afterwards. Brilliant move!
