Juve get D-day boost Friday 28 September, 2007

Derby fever is sweeping through Turin and Juventus have struck the first blow as Gigi Buffon recovers while Torino may lose Alessandro Rosina.
The Old Lady square up to their city rivals for the first time in four years at the Stadio Olimpico this weekend and must make do with a somwhat depleted squad.
The suspended Jonathan Zebina is joined by the injured trio of Jean-Alain Boumsong, Mauro Camoranesi and Jorge Andrade, while striker Vincenzo Iaquinta is a doubt with a muscular problem.
However, the biggest fear for Claudio Ranieri was that the Bianconeri would have to start without goalkeeper Buffon, but that now seems highly unlikely.
The Azzurri custodian limped off against Reggina last weekend, but has been training as normal after shaking off the knock.
The news isn’t so good for the Granata as midfield star Alessandro Rosina may miss out with a strained thigh.
The man nicknamed Rosinaldo is an inspirational figure in the Toro side and would be sorely missed as Walter Novellino’s side try to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat at Parma.
Striker Nicola Ventola believes that the disappointing performance against the Ducali must be forgotten as soon as possible.
“There is anger and disappointment, which is understandable,” he stated.
“But now we must look ahead to the derby and take the good things from our recent games. We are going out there to match Juve blow for blow.”
