Giovinco-Bendtner
Asamoah-Marrone-Pirlo-Marchisio-Isla
Chiellini-Lucio-Barzagli
Buffon

Vidal hasn't looked the same since the Chelsea game, I suspect he's still injured, Marrone's a big guy so he should be trusted to cover for Arturo.
Time to give Isla and Bendtner games. I would also like to see Pepe back on and try a 4-3-3 with him and Isla on the right if he's ready. Oh and if subs for both Pirlo and Marchisio since Italy will play them for the full two games.

This will be an annoying game for us. We struggled against them last season and I can foresee the same sort of game again this season.

Marrone, Pogba and Isla should start this one.

That was like our 3rd game last season. At least the players know how to play together now.

Siena will most probably park the bus against us

Buffon
Lucio - Barzagli - Chiellini
Isla - Pogba - Marrone - Marchisio - De Ceglie
Quagliarella - Giovinco

Agreed, we have to try an alternative formation, 3-5-2 wont cut it in every match. We used to change formation last year when things weren't working for us, but we refused to do that this season in dreadful games against Fiorentina and Shaktar.

True, that was a bad match. Was that after Udinese away? I remember there were some seriously frustrating games around that period. Chievo away comes to mind as well.
Yeah we had a whole heap of bad results from Late January to Mid March.

Draws with Siena, Bologna, Cagliari, Chievo, Genoa IIRC.

After we thrashed the purple rats in Florence, we never looked back :touched:

They were a seriously depressing number of draws in that period.

Plus we had a mini injury crisis at the Center backs and had to hope Caceres would do Ok. But yeah, after the Fiorentina game everything was a dream.
