We were the ones doing most of the pressing and were more in control. Only chances Sampdoria had to score was that shot Pazzini screwed up and the penalty Macheda should've got. Defense was great, especially Chiellini <3.

Our lack of proper strikers was our undoing. Look at Milan, they're top of the table with shitty fullbacks. And that's because of their strikers. We build plenty of chances but with Amauri up there wtf do you expect? Fabiano would do wonders for us.

Martinez should've started, horrible move by Del Neri to wait until the after the 80th minute. Soon as he came on, he created a couple chances and was great. If he starts next game and we also get Melo back, we should do much better. Melo's presence is also very crucial to Aquilani's game.

Martinez has to be in the starting lineup against Udinese. He showed glimpses of his great potential here in his 7-8 mins on the field. Contrary to what a lot of people think of him on these boards, I think he is a tidy player, I like the look of him.

What I saw is 2 teams of mid-table quality battling it out with little skill and passing, and lots of longballs and intercepted passes. I thought I was watching a League Championship game from England

The broken record continues...Amauri sucks, Marotta bought the wrong players (and spent too much), Del Neri is satisfied without a win (what do you expect from a LOSER ???!!!).....and it goes on and on

NEWS FLASH- You can add UDINESE to the list of teams that are better than us

A Europa league birth is the best that we can ask for...we wont be getting anything else

Someone explain to me WHY DUMB Neri subbed Krasic and then Aqua out of the game when we needed a goal ?? Sissoko, on a yellow card mind you, would have been the smarter sub, not Aqua (not to mention that Sissoko cannot pass the ball)

I'm sick of seeing us struggle against everyone, if this is Andrea's way of building the team, PLEASE sell the fucking team to some rich Shieks or a Russian billionaire

I fell asleep TWICE watching this ultimate snooze fest of a match, which only sparked to life (somewhat) in the last 15 minutes.

As always, we looked clueless with the ball, and even more clueless without it.

We could've won it in the end, but the performance is nothing to write home about. Overall, a satisfactory result (given the opponent and the fact that we were playing away from home), but if we continue to perform like this, we are going nowhere fast.

We may have lost a lot of games last season, but we aren't winning many this season either!

“More than a report on the match, it reads like a casualty list,” read the statement on the official club website.

“Stefano Lucchini clashed with Amauri in the opening minutes and suffered a facial fracture. Once substituted, he was taken to the Montallegro clinic, where medics are evaluating surgery.

“Giampaolo Pazzini is dealing with a sprained left ankle, Nicola Pozzi a muscular problem close to his right knee and Massimo Volta a heavy bruise to his left cheekbone.”

There were fears Volta had also fractured the cheekbone, as his face and eye were very swollen, but as all the substitutions had been completed, he carried on to the final whistle.

 like after a boxing match

I like watching Juventus. I like it then, and still like it now. It's not only the Baggios or Del Pieros who this team are, but also the Pessottos and Torricellis. FORZA JUVE.

The positive side of this poor run of games is that its always the same guys who causes the damage, and that the board must see the same. They know whos damaging the team, they must do! Its always our sidebacks, Sissoko, Amauri and Iaquinta who looses the ball and slow down the tempo. Once we get rid of these outcasts and replace them, atleast some of them with quality, we will have a winning team again.
I have not given up on Del Neri yet. I still have my believe that he has a longtermed plan, and all we have to achieve this season imo is a spot for CL.

Positives: Bonucci, Sissoko, Pepe
Negatives: starting formation, Krasic, Amauri

Getting a point away to Samp is not a bad result for us right now, but the problem is that there very few signs of improvement & little to look forward to. True, there's the imminent return of Melo, but that's really not going to solve any of the problems we have.

I think the return of Martínez could be important, and would add him in with the positives of the game.

I'm not sure.

His return in itself is definitely positive, but I wonder if & where Del Neri will play him.
To be honest, I expected one of DP/Martinez to start yesterday's game, yet they didn't. That makes me wonder how we'll proceed in the future.

Del Piero had flu, otherwise I am sure he would have started. Martínez, I guess he didn't want to rush him back too soon, which I don't disagree with.

I would like to see something like this against Roma
Krasic---Aquilani--Marchi---Pepe
--------Martinez--Del Piero

Didn't know Delpers had the flu, hadn't been following the news the past few days.

As for not rushing someone back, I agree with that. But why not act that way for every player? We clearly have no problem throwing a half fit Traoré on the pitch...

Silly you!

I wasn't aware that Traoré was half fit. Could be due to the severity of the injury Martínez came back from as opposed to Traoré.
