I can see how much Iaquinta love Juventus...

I dont blame Del Piero for missed the penalty.

But I think now is the time to give more space to our young player like Palladino to step up.

Grazie Iaquinta

Congrats for Trezegol - your 100th in seria A :toast:

Palla did good job considering his time on the pitch. He brought a little more pace to our game and I think he should be given more time to play. And Alex should be rested a little even I think the main reason behind his bad games is current contract negotiations going on.

And Tigao deserved a chance but Andrade injury ruined that so C-Ra needed to decide will he bring another striker or midfielder and he did good choice.

It was a well deserved point in a game which we could've won very easily. I was impressed by Juve today. Midfield and attack were pretty good, but we still need a new experienced defender.

My ratings:

Buffon 6.5 - Made some great saves, no wonder why he's #1 in the world.

Grygera 7 - Our best defender today IMO. Played great on the right side after coming back from injury, and then covered well the CB position when Andrade got injured.

Andrade 6 - Was solid as always. Pitty he was injured. I hope it's nothing serious.

Criscito 5 - He's a great defender, but lacks experience. He was at fault for Roma's two goals there. Still has a lot to learn. As vlatko said (or someone else can't remember), you can't be a great defender on Serie A at the age of 20.

Chiellini 5.5 - Not a good game by Chiellini, left the left flank exposed quite a few times.

Nocerino 6 - He played well, but he can't cross for shit. He should've came back more often to help Grygera on the right side.

Zanetti 7 - One of our best players on the pitch today. He was quiet, but did his job.

Nedved 6 - He was mostly invisible throughout the match.

Iaquinta 7 - Our man of the match IMO. An assist and a goal. Had a few good runs on the right, and overall did well.

Trezeguet 6 - Except for the goal, he was invisible.

Del Piero 5.5 - He kept the ball way too much today. Unlucky about that penalty miss, but these things happen to great champions too.

Palladino, Legro and Birindelli played good when they came in.

Buffon - 6 - not tested a lot apart from the goals and weak shots
Chiellini - 6.5 - solid as usual
Andrade - 7 - our best defender for most the match
Criscito - 5.5 - not as good as I hoped
Grygera - 7 - very pleased with him, back from injury and played well
Nedved - 5 - i thought he was poor in all honesty
Zanetti - 6 - he was not outstanding and not shite, he had too much to do today
Nocerino - 5 - camoranesi is missed, greatly
Iaquinta - 7.5 - our best player, looked something different
Trezeguet - 6.5 - scored but didn't get much delivery
Del Piero - 5.5 - he looked limp, a bit out of position
Legro - 6 - average
Birindelli - 6.5 - legend
Palladino - 6 - had good touches, didn't make much of an impact

wahhaha did u see Mexes's face when Vinnie scored? that was priceless! But seriously, we were lucky to leave Rome with a point...DF was terrible, Ale had a bad game it is clear that he is under some pressure - still can't believe he missed a penalty! !!! Iaquinta was brillant, Gigi made some crucial saves...another possible injury blow with Andrade :(
I actually thought he was going to miss. I told my dad he's going to get saved but I didn't expect him to pull a Beckham.

Call me retarded, but I think if DP made that PK we might've lost, I mean it'd be 2-2 right, and then I'm sure we'de all sit back and eventually Roma would've scored.

So DP saved our asses again :D

About Criscito I share a different view.

Criscito, as we always know, has been tipped as one of the brightest prospects in Italy, and this is one of the matches to let him gain experience. Due to his inexperience Totti totally owned him and because of that he became nervy and made him malperform due to a lost of confidence. Such scenes are common as youngsters usually are not matured enough to handle mishaps. I believe that taking out Criscito for this game is a good move, but replacing him with another nervy defender really gives me goosbumps. Constant exposure to such players will definitely let him learn how to handle them.

Kids need to learn from big games, or else they will never learn how to deal with them and get owned repeatedly by big players

Football doesn't work like that. You can't say it finished 2-2 so if DP scored the penalty we would've won. If DP had scored you don't know what would've happened after that, and we sure as hell wouldn't have been pushing for an equaliser if he had scored.

Roma were better than us today. A lot better. Perrotta missed an open goal, Mancini wasted a great opportunity and Buffon pulled off a number of great saves. We didn't deserve to win this game, we didn't even deserve a point so we should be happy with what we got.

Iaquinta really wanted it. The guy gave his all and that's why I like him. No more Iaquinta bashing because he doesn't deserve it every single time.

Zanetti was phenomenal. Ranieri should start Tiago next to him or in Neddy's place when he plays 3 in front. Neddy is not the same anymore, just like DP who should be a super sub.

Defense sucked and that's why I wanted another experienced D this summer and now our best D is injured.

FORZA JUVE!

At least one positive thing from this match beside the result was Grygera who was our best defender and with return of Zebina maybe Grygera can go as a CB and than we could have solid defence.
