Almiron had to pull out of training today. Doctors are looking into it, doesn't seem serious, but he's doubtful for Roma.

We have serious problems in the midfield. Zanetti-Tiago-Nedved are the only ones who seem really fit.So, I guess Ranieri will put Brazzo in the midfield with Birindelli on right back. Which I don't see as a good idea...

Roma – Juventus

The match of the season so far sees the eagerly anticipated clash between Roma and Juventus. This game has always been hotly contested ever since the events of May 10, 1981. On that day, both teams were facing off in a crucial championship match. With just two games left to play, Juventus led Roma by a single point in the race for the Scudetto.

With 10 minutes to go, Roma defender Maurizio Turone scored what appeared to be a legitimate goal but the linesman flagged to disallow the goal for an infringement. The game ended 0-0, Juventus won their next two games and the Bianconeri ended the season as champions. This controversy spawned a huge rivalry between the two clubs, a rivalry that will be present on Sunday afternoon.

League leaders Roma are likely to pick the same team that trounced Dynamo Kiev 2-0 in midweek, although Ludovic Giuly may come in for Amantino Mancini. Christian Panucci, who is struggling with injury, will replace Marco Cassetti if he can prove his fitness.

Juventus, who had their 100 per cent start ended by Udinese last weekend, have numerous players missing. Mauro Camoranesi is out for a month, while Marco Marchionni, Jean-Alain Boumsong and Zdenek Grygera are also injured. Jonathan Zebina sits out the second game of his four-match ban.

I believe.
I believe in Juve spirit.
I believe that having all the odds against you is an advantage for you.
I believe in Roma inferiority complex which is a very decisive factor whenever we meet them.
I believe in Tiago.
I believe in Buffon,Del Piero, Nedved, Trezeguet.
I believe that no matter what, it will always be Juventus>Roma, now bring these assholes.

just a reality check, am sorry but i am afraid we are not capable of winning this game, we have an injury crisis in our MF, we have an average to weak DF. and we are playing an attacking team. am sorry guys but this game don't seem to be our game.

This season, until now Panucci is playing some Great matches, wether he plays as CB or RB he always looks very strong deffensivly & he also helps a lot offens & scores a lot & thats why he was re-called to the National Team.

Roma's biggest strengh(like Arsenal) is their 6 men midfield, playin with 6 players in the midfield is just too much for the other team to handle, they can control any match & when they start attacking 4 of the 6 midfielders become immideatly strikers.
With the players we got in the midfield in this match,I dont think we can cope with them & I am 100% that they will dominate the match but I am hoping for Moments of Magic by Dp,Neddy & Trezy.
I'll be very satisfied with a point.
panucci improved this season from last season where his lack speed was really exposed and i think we can take an advantage of that.

We can get a positive result and i think our match fitness will really come out on sunday as the way to beat a better side overall is to basically work harder than them and play them off the park.So imo the key here is our midfield partnership whatever is it going to be.

Sadly we dont have much options with Almiron now a doubt so it looks like a 442 with tiago and zanetti in the middle with neddy and brazzo on the wings. Its not that bad defensively because it will be a very hardworking combination but offensively it will leave a lot to be desired. My preference would to put palladino on the right for a bit more innovation.

I am sick and tired of the war between Azzurri7 and Mark.

I am also sick and tired of Vinman's provocations along with the remarks on them.
I'm sorry this place is stressing you out so badly...

here, take 2 aspirins and call me in the morning :D

another remedy may be to throw a warning a certain juve per sempre's way for some of the stupidity that comes out of his mouth when others dont agree with him

I have to attend a baptism on Sunday so I'm missing this game. The last time I was at a baptism was a certain Sunday in 2004, which was coincidentally the same day Juventus played Roma. Juventus lost 4-0 that day, and the way things are going I expect much of the same.
