Hats off for Storari who kept us in the game. Great game by Grosso who made two assists. Props to Krasic and Matri for scoring two of our scarce goal chances. Melo gets my vote as the man of the match though :star:

I have to say I'm quite surprised by the average/poor ratings Melo is getting. I thought he did really well.

Storari - 8 - MOM. added more highlights to his CV tonight.
Bonucci - 5.5 - poor positioning, nearly cost us a goal in the first half (if not for Storari). other than that, didn't have to deal with much from an impotent Roma. still not convinced by this guy as some future star, either. can't handle 1-v-1s for his life.
Barzagli - 5.5 - nothing special, as I can't remember him being involved with anything for good or bad.
Grosso - 7 - a bit suspect defending, but provided our assists. looked very confident going forward. shame about the poor pass after that long run in the second half.
Marchisio - 5 - divided himself by 0 somehow.
Felipe Melo - 5.5 - quiet game, did alright defensively
Aquilani - 5 - it seems to me that after earning his recall to the NT this guy just doesn't give a damn anymore. lazy, slack passing, no longer sharp on the ball, hardly the brain of the midfield that he ought to be. maybe his heart is set on going back to Liverpool for whatever reason. still, we know the talent is there (somewhere), but our immobile tactics/team just aren't doing him any favours.
Pepe - 4.5 - only made himself noticeable when he was scuffing chances, losing the ball, or just being a fuck up.
Krasic - 6 - seemed a bit all over the place in the first half, running around a lot with little purpose. like Aquilani, though, he gets little support on movements he tries to initiate, so he ends up turning over possession if he can't beat his man (which he didn't do very well today). still, a clinical finish, along with the previous goal of his, shows he's been working on his shooting which was his main shortcoming in the first half of the season. not much for the crosses today, although he made a fairly nice run and pass into the box that wasn't converted.
Matri - 6 - I don't think he won a single aerial battle today vs. Juan. reminded me a little bit of Amauri in that he was just hanging around the same small area waiting for others. good job beating the offside and a rather cool, if not lucky, finish for the goal.

Grygera - n/a
Salihamidzic - n/a
Sorensen - n/a

Del Neri - 0 - fucking lucky.
What game were you watching? Melo was an absolute beast, apart from Storari he was easily our best player tonight. 8 out of 10 as a minimum

The low ratings Marchisio is getting is surprising. He made some good tackles and generally played quite well. Pepe was the invisible one today (apart from his miss).

Matri>>>Pazzini
I like Matri, I do, but unlike you, I actually wait for total consistency in this level before I jump the gun (nor take into account which team they play for, you would called Matri average he was not a Juve player), Pazzini has shown himself to be the better goalscorer/box striker in last 2 seasons, while Matri is having his real breakthrough season this season (kind of what Pazzini had 18 months ago). I particularly like him because he a nonston counterattacking player (made tons of runs tonight, but Krasic was way too selfish), kinda only thing I thought of him as a positive when we were rumoured with him (we need the runs badly). But yeah wont suddenly deem as some kind of golden standard because of 3 months with us (as I said, pretty sure you ignored his existence when he was in Cagliari).

Btw, Grosso  Storari

Marchisio was invisible like he usually is. Pepe was visible and a complete waste of 3.5M Euros like he usually is.
