If the wing-backs are whipping in quality crosses, having 2 towering forwards may not be a bad thing. The problem though is that they are not getting those kind of crosses ...
Yeah but we litterly have no wingback, 1-2 decent crosses per game cant justify playing with two central strikers.
Those kind of players add nothing beside finishing to our game and more often they actually cancel each other as they see nothing other then the goal and are pretty limeted at other aspects of the game.

Our play at the moment comes from the middle so playing with an SS should be a priority, even if it means playing an unproven one as Gio.

If we play Zebina, I think we'll see loads more action on that right side. Also Grosso is capable, or should be capable, of storming forward and putting a few decent crosses in. He couldn't do too much against Bayern, but it's not easy with Robben and Lahm running back and forth on your flank.

I just hope we play Zebina and can include Grosso a bit more when going forward. Would really add another dimension to our game. When Momo gets back we can have Marchisio 'covering' for one fullback, and Momo for the other.

I see your point though, I'd like to give Gio a try as SS, or next to Diego at some point.

There is something i have noticed to Ciro, when he plays Zebina he doesn't play grosso, and when he plays Grosso he doesn't play Zebina he plays with Grygera, so I think he doesn't have the guts to play with both of them since both of them can go deep in attack and we can suffer from counter attacks.
I need Alen here to tell us statistics if he ever started Zebina and Grosso so far?

That's probably just because he's only played Zebina once and on that occasion he was resting Grosso for the Munich game. I doubt it has anything to do with fielding them together

Per Palermo partono in 22. Torna Cannavaro, Marchisio a riposo

Ecco l’elenco definitivo

1 Buffon
2 Caceres
3 Chiellini
4 Felipe Melo
5 Cannavaro
6 Grosso
9 Iaquinta
11 Amauri
12 Chimenti
13 Manninger
15 Zebina
16 Camoranesi
17 Trezeguet
18 Poulsen
19 Molinaro
20 Giovinco
21 Grygera
23 Ariaudo
28 Diego
29 De Ceglie
33 Legrottaglie
39 Marrone

Marchisio rested and Cannavaro back :D

Buffon
Zebina - Cannavaro - Chiellini - Grosso
Camoranesi - Melo - De Ceglie
Diego
Trezeguet - Giovinco

Canna is maybe not 100% fit to start, but if he is I would like him to play.

Giovinco starting as a striker is impossible when Ferrara has Amauri and Iaquinta. Also, this match is a MUST win, so I don't think Ferrara will gamble on Seba.

Welcome back Traitor!
I don't think he will start!

i want canna to start. without canna.. if u guys realised, we drew all the matches since canna got injuried. :bigscarf:
However, abejaa has statistics that prove that Legro - Chiellini let in less goals than Canna - Chiellini.

Do you still have the statistics, abejaa?

---------Buffon

Zebina--Cannavaro--Chiellini--Grosso

---Camoranesi--Melo--De Ceglie

-------------------Diego

----------Amauri------Trezeguet

Really want to see that backline against Palermo, don't want to see Poulsen at all but unfortunately Ferrara is going to start him. I have faith in Amauri-Trez

Good point JCK, we got away clean sheet vs Bayern with Legro and Chiellini while we drew home to bordo and conceded a goal with your brother cannavaro home!

His statistics say otherwise. Will you please show us the statistics that prove that Legro is better than Canna, abejaa? You had them, do you still have them?

That's two games only. We played more than that. Now stop hiding the facts and show us the real numbers.
