Juve duo are Azzurri doubts

Monday 6 October, 2008

Marcello Lippi may have to make do without Gigi Buffon and Mauro Camoranesi for Italy's upcoming World Cup 2010 qualifiers.

The Azzurri will be looking to maintain their 100 per cent record on the road to South Africa as they face Bulgaria and Montenegro.

Buffon reported a recurrence of shoulder pain after Juventus' defeat against Palermo yesterday.

The Bianconeri No 1 has been struggling with the injury for weeks and may need some time to rest the troubled area.

Meanwhile, Juve winger Mauro Camoranesi has complained of a strain in his right thigh.

Both men saw Azzurri medical staff this afternoon and a decision will be made shortly over their fitness.

Italy travel to Bulgaria on Saturday before hosting Montenegro in mid-week.

This better be true. This is good, Ale, Gigi Mauro not playing for the NT and getting ready to fix things for Napoli game.

Come on, we don't have that terrible of players. Tell me, apart from the usual suspects, who are the bad players in this group?

Buffon

Zebina - Mellberg - Chiellini - De Ceglie

Camoranesi - Sissoko - Poulsen - Giovinco

Amauri - Del Piero

Tell me... apart from perhaps Zebina and Mellberg, where are the bad players? Everybody in there is at least solid, such as Poulsen. Giovinco, Camo and the strikers are damn good.

It's not that we have bad players, but because we have a terrible coach. That's it. We could certainly have done better on the market and chosen better players, but honestly... we should be doing better than this. The players in the starting XI are not that bad. Thus why Ranieri is the problem.
i really hope for a draw, stop kidding yourselves guys but a draw away to Napoli is a good result for ranieri

other than Catania at home and Cagliari away, we have had a pretty difficult schedule too...Udinese, Sampdoria, Fiorentina and Palermo are not certain 3 points by any means...
