I disagree, you can also blame marchionni for missing a wide open net from 2 feet away.
Thats not really the point. You can blame him too but that wasn`t our only chance in this match. We were unlucky today by missing some good chances. But overall Ranieri ruined this match.Formation at the start of the match was stupid.Subs?Taking off DP at the end of the first half?Yes he`s an idiot. He always makes some incredibly fu*king stupid subs.We lost too many points because of something like this and this should not happen. He`s simply not the right man for us.Inter is leaving us behind by miles and sadly Roma too.Milan is on fire...

Parma-Juventus 2-2
Milan-Juventus 0-0
Catania-Juventus 1-1
Juventus-Sampdoria 0-0

These are some of those games where we lost points. It seems Inter can`t be stopped. How strong will they be when/if they win Serie A and do some good job in CL.They will get 100mln Euros for transfer market this summer :pumpkin: .Fu*k it,i hope we stay at top 4 this season. We need new players, good defenders and creative middle but also new coach

our best periods seems to be in the final 15 min of each half, in the first half we seemed agressive and determined to get the 3 points,we really deserved to go ahead in the final 15 min of the first half were we seemed an image of the 2005-2006 team and a real giants. Marchionni moving and dribbling from the right and Nedved from the left making space for Molinaro and Birindelli and some fine crosses but some how the ball didn't go in we attacked with more than a player and we seemed destined to win, what i liked most about those 15 min that this is the first time from two years that i see some depth in attack, it as if we out numbered the sampadoria team in there own penalty area. Dp caused some trouble for there defence and i could see that he could atleast win a penalty. somehow i though that after HT we will continue from were we stopped but no it is as if a new team entered. we gave up possion and had too many lost balls. we just depend on long balls for a reason that i didn't have any clue of!!! the only possible explaination is that we ran out of steam, Nedved seemed alittle tired, Molinaro stopped attacking from the left. Brazzo insist on crossing the ball from the center of the feild. Marchionni disappeared, so did Trez. Iaquinta for some reason was pissed off and was a really different player that we used to see. Palladino didn't do anything up until the stoppage time. Almiron really slowed the pace of our attack.

Buffon – 6 really had nothing to do, Sampadoria defended with all there players.

Birindelli – 6.5 i have to say he is way better that our other options in fullback position although his age appeared in the secand half but he did much better than i honestly expected.

Grygera – 6 good game, he tend to cover for the full backs when they move forward but i still don't trust him physically as a CB, Bonazzoli throw him away with a simple push. we really need to Buy.

Legrottaglie – 6.5 Soild, he gave us safty and cover for Grygera gave some confident to the backline.

Molinaro – 6 i would have given him 7 if he continued the form of the first half, although he cannot cross the ball but still had some nice dribbles and atleast did something for a change, but disappeared in the 2nd half.

Marchionni –5 did fine in the first half and absloutly nothing in the 2nd. we really miss Camo.

Zanetti –7 did what he have to do and more, he was everywhere we couldn't even feel that we are playing with one DM.

Salihamidzic- 5 really nothing special through the 90 min. he insist on crossing the ball like 40 meters across the feild making it almost impossible for the forwards to do something.

Nedved – 7 MOM, would have given him 8 if he just didn't disapper in the first 20 min of the 2nd half. we would really miss him next season we really have to find someone who rans that much.

Del Piero – 6 had a really good game up until he was off.

Trezeguet -6 he should have scored, but overall he is still running and the ball that hit the bar was just a dead ball with amazing reflex. shame it didn't get in.

Iaquinta- 4.5 simply bad, killed our attack wanted to fight with anyone and can't stop complaining. a different player of the coppa game.

Palladino – 5 just wanted to dribble and often loose the ball. i would have given him 4 but he had one good cross.

Almiron - 3 simply tried to slow the pace of the game in the final minutes. not good enough for Ascoli i don't now how much weed did secco smoke to buy him.

CR- 3 they said that the first half is the players half and the 2nd is the coach's he missed up big time we r still dropping point and i really see us finishing in UEFA spot.

Why is it that after every single match we play there are some who always complain about the refereeing. It doesn't even matter if there was a bad decision in our match... people will complain about poor decisions in another match and expect some sort of compensation.

It's sad that we now have to rely on the referee to help us win matches. How ironic.
It is because these people are used to us being awarded soft penalties and non existing free kicks during the days of Moggi. These same people are the ones who follow gsol cheering without having a clue what they are cheering for. Biggest example is the banned Turk.

This is exactly the reason why we got relegated, it is true we did not fix matches but we were being favoured because of Moggi's influence.

Ranieri: We Were Just Missing A Goal

Juventus boss Claudio Ranieri has bemoaned his side’s bad luck in today’s goalless draw with Sampdoria.

The Bianconeri completely dominated the first half, as Marco Marchionni missed an open-goal, and David Trezeguet hit the post and had an effort cleared off the line.

The second period though Juve were desperately disappointing, with the only chance created being a last-minute volley from Trezeguet.

We faced a team that defended in an orderly fashion. We tried every way we could to score, but we were just missing that final touch,” said Ranieri.

We tried spreading the play out wide and shot from every angle, but even in the last second David Trezeguet fired over.”

There was some controversy in the game as Juve had a number of penalty appeals turned down, while Trezeguet tried to claim that his effort in the first half had been cleared away from behind the goal-line.

I don’t think it was a goal,” confessed Ranieri. “It is unlikely the ball went over completely. This was just a cursed game and we could not have done more.”

Despite today’s disappointment the Tinkerman is keen to stress that Juve are still having a fine campaign.

We are having an extraordinary season and there is a lot more work to do. We know all this. We said from the start there were more complete squads than us. We want to challenge for the Scudetto, but that is because it is in the DNA of this club,” he concluded.

Let the slide down the table begin....

I will keep this short and sweet, as it seems like we are talking about the same things over and over again each week

Before I do, let me pose this question to everyone here, and lets all take a few moments to think about this, and how bad things are becoming-

We had an outside midfielder/fullback playing in the center of the midfield today while two expensive central midfield signings were sitting on the bench....what the fuck do we have going on here ??

On to the game, and there's plenty of blame to go around today-

- we could blame Marchionni for the absolute miss of the season, that I'm pretty confident any of us could have and would have converted (even donnanocerino :p )

- we could blame the ref for not awarding us at least one penalty for the two that he waved off...I saw much weaker ones awarded in the last few weeks to Fiorentina

BUT, the biggest blame for this pathetic performance is SOLELY on the back of one Claudio RUINeri

Could someone please explain to me WHY DP was subbed off at halftime, when EVERYONE knew the right move would have been replacing Brazzo with Iaquinta, and switching to a 4-3-3 ??

Its bad enough we couldnt find the net in the first half (see Marchionni), and we continue to try to play like a half-fast EPL team, but after DP was wrongly subbed out, we had NO effectiveness in the second half, and resorted to a bullshit long-ball game, which never works !!

The only positive from todays game was that Cassano didnt play, and thankfully our defense was never tested !!

2 things need to happen NOW to ensure CL qualification for next season-

1) We need Diego or VDV NOW to help this midfield

2) We need to sack RUINeri NOW !!!!

otherwise, this will be a wasted season, as we will finish 5th or 6th
i agree but not with sacking ranieri in the middle of the season, who else could we get? i still think we will qualify for the cl but we need to get beack on track with a few wins to state the obvious.

and no offence but i remember reading you saying that we woudl lose 2-1, this aint a bad result then, is it?

i just love the way you pulled that one.

we discussed the foul on marchionni because some said that it was a correct decision while others said it was a penalty.

so basically because this is a football forum ...

Ranieri: We Were Just Missing A Goal
We faced a team that defended in an orderly fashion. We tried every way we could to score, but we were just missing that final touch,” said Ranieri.
We did, you restricted us. You say they were defending yet you still don't put on an attacking formation. You pussy out and play the fucking 4-4-2 like you always do.

We tried spreading the play out wide and shot from every angle, but even in the last second David Trezeguet fired over.”
Leave the creative player on and we would have had much more oppurtunities to score you clown.

I don’t think it was a goal,” confessed Ranieri. “It is unlikely the ball went over completely. This was just a cursed game and we could not have done more.”
Yes we bloody could have. We could have attacked more against a side you have already said defended. But no, 4-4-2 with shit tactical decisions is the way forward.

We are having an extraordinary season and there is a lot more work to do. We know all this. We said from the start there were more complete squads than us. We want to challenge for the Scudetto, but that is because it is in the DNA of this club,” he concluded.
Open your fucking eyes. Can't you see that we have serious injury problems, we have struggled against a Sampdoria side who hardly ever had a shot and Fiorentina, Udinese and Milan are all going to be up our arses very soon. Your 4-4-2 tactic is shit and you need to grow a pair and try something else. Stop churning up this shit to the media and do something with the team for once.

Ok here comes the reason for the most famous decision today.

I would first like to rub it in the face of all those who doubted me saying that Del Piero would play an important role in the second half. He fucking did! His ABSENCE made the team lose its shape.

So according to Ranieri, during the break he wanted to go for the trident then all of a sudden he remembered that we have a game against Inter on Wednesday so he opte to remove Del Piero. :lol2:

I want to cry! Score the goal which was bound to come with him on, and then replace him. Inter will most likely destroy us anyway.

No man, he couldn't have said this. I really hope he didn't.
I could understand if this is the reason why he substituted him (bad decission in any case) but how much of a fool you have to be to admit that publicly.

Find some silly excuse, say that you needed speed and agility, or that you needed a player who'll put more pressure on Samp's defenders, but don't say that you subbed a player from an important league match so you can keep him fresh for some coppa italia match.

i honestly wonder if the board watch the same games we guys watch or not. cos no sane person who is incharge of a club wiill think that juventus dont need reinforcement during the winter break with all honesty.

It seems that CR had no excuses, DP wasnt injured, it was a great tactical mistake that cost us the game and killed whatever hopes we had for the second place...
Now we are in trouble and we have to focus...fast!!

I ll defend CR for his starting line up, it was probably the wisest choice to start the game with a 4-4-2 and use Marchionni as a third striker in our organized attacks.
He probably even pre-calculated his sub DP<->Iaquinta, even before the match, (to rest them both) so that the later would achieve what the first failed to deliver. I m sure that that was the plan in CR's mind. Since the formation was working, he decided to change the person only.

However, during the match CR ought to see what happens and adjust the team to the adversary's game. Since our defense was holding up well and Samp was detained, we could opt for more. Subbing Iaquinta for Marchionni would be the wisest choice and later on,if that trident still wasnt effective, Palla for DP. I think that 30' of a DP+Treze+Iaquinta trident would be enough to kill the game.

Since we had the control of the game both defensively and offensively, CR could risk more. He didnt, he preferred to secure the point, than risk for the other two. He waited for Samp to make the subs first, so that he can make the adjustments to our team, according to them, that is the reason he was so late with the other two subs. And Almiron's response to Volpi was a great one!
His mistake can be that Iaquinta failed to bring in the extra spark he usually does,
Iaquinta failed him and as long as CR is the one who has the responsibility, its his fault. Not only because it was CR the one who decides who will play, where and when, but also because he knows about their current form, since he can see them working at every training.
DP is more deadly than Iaquinta, at least atm, if CR chose Iaquinta because he thinks he is a better finisher and we needed one SS less, he was wrong.
This is a choice a coach has to take, it its entirely his responsibility, CR's choice was wrong and our instincts, as they were noted in the live thread, were right,
thats not a first time it happened and just a shame that the fans can appreciate the situation better than the coach, it reminds of the Capello's days.

We will never know what Juve would do if we were switching to our deadly trident,
maybe our defense would collapse, the same way it collapsed after Chie's injury,
we could have conceded a few goals and lose even this hard earned point, but most chances are that our trident would have scored, with Neddy+ DP providing both Treze and Iaquinta in the front!

PS i said that many times before, DP affects the morale of our team a great deal,
his sheer present helps his teammates, even when his performance doesnt, subbing him out in a decent day would be most probably a bad idea...

i want to metnion one tiny bit. the nedved issue or in other words the creativity found in juventus has been lacking since may of 2003. to be very precise the juventus vs milan final in ucl. i was hoping that we would realize the defict we have in creativity cos the moment neded gets injured we will depend on cammo for creativity and when the later gets injured like now we have to start playing with the useless long balls up front style that is purely inadquete not to mention less effcient. here we are in 2008 five years later with the same problem. offocurse i cant be harsh when i consider the calciopoli and that we lost alot of players but i think its about time to do sth at least while we still have nedved runing cos come next season we will be clueless.

It was a tactical mistake but he had to cover it by saying that he kept Del Piero for Inter.
