Football skills come out, when your whole team is stopped byyy....let's say Liverpool or Arsenal....and you have a skilled man that can make an advantage by himself. Iaquinta can....Treze can't.....THAT's A FACT THAT NO ONE CAN DENY!
LOL, well that completelly depends on the situation. Iaquinta may be able to take on a player one on one in the dying moments of a game, make a difference on the pitch himself, but so can Trezeguet. Say someone else with the skills takes advantage himself, dribbles past through 3 defenders and in the end puts in a cross in the box...Iaquinta probably has a 50% bigger chance to miss that dead chance of goal than Trez. What good in that position would Iaquinta be? You're a manager of the France NT, in the Euro 2000 final, would you have rather had Iaquinta in the box to take that volley or Trezeguet?

Two different strikers, numerous different scenarios, it all depends on one's perspective.

you are an id....uhm....whatever.

What do football skills have to do with scoring?!?!
what vlat said and since when scoring is not considered a skill in football ?

well not every player on the field can spark something out of nothing.Every player has his job and what he does best. Trezi is one of the best in the world in what he does, and in those scrappy closed games he will be in the right position to score out of a half chance. And Thats a fact no one can deny

ok: i'll give the answer to my question....HIS JOB IS TO SCORE!!! agree?
that his main and only job(of course it is,cuz he can't do anything else)

so,everytime we failed to qualify in finish of CL,and we didn't score that statement of your would make Trez main and only flaw of the team.

And now, here are comments.....midfield didn't ......bla bla bla

Midfield didn't do nothing even for chelsea, but Drogba can control the ball with the chest 20m outside and volley it into the top corner,he can take on 2 defenders and score,he can dribble trough them,he can guard the ball in the box and serve others....this is gentlemen,a top player,a top striker and something we desperately need ;)

And something else,Trez would be perfect for side like Barcelona, manU that can provide 10 clear chances per game....then,trez would score 300 in 7 seasons. But we can't,we never could. Juve is a hard working team,we rely on many crosses and wait for the bomb of nedved, second of DelPiero's rarely seen magic either from game either from FK,and hope that Trez will be able to poach a goal from deflection.

With this attitude,we will never see the final of CL again....

Your point of view is terribly one-sided. Juventus' lack of success in the CL has a lot of reasons, Trezeguet being the least of it.

But to answer your answer shortly. To score goals. 145 goals, 7 seasons, average over 20 goals per season. I'd say he's doing a pretty fine job.

i will leave the CL discussion away cause there are many reasons as vlatko said and trezi is one of the least responsible.

With Trezi's scoring record he will almost certainly make that run, or take an important position.Hence he will either be in a good scoring position or take away a defender with him to clear up space for advancing midfielders and the attackers.

And our side should be providing for the strikers irrelevant of who they are in the front line thats what they are there to do.
