Guys, imagine a great player like Zidane playing in our midfield next to Sissoko, with Camo and Nedved on the sides and with Del Piero in front of them.

We'll be dominating the matches like no-one else does with Sissoko stopping every single action in midfield, while the mentioned 4 will be ripping apart the opponents.

We really need a great technical player in Zanetti/Tiago's place.

This game had classic written all over it. Atmosphere, tension and importance. Juventus started off slow or Napoli started off with lots of energy? The first minutes of the game Napoli were pushing us forward, Hamsik doing wonderful work and Juve not able to pull two passes. Slowly we started coming in the game after a lot of effort from Sissoko winning us ball after ball. Nedved and Del Piero found themselves lacking in energy as they are used to motor force from Zanetti which was a bit lacking from Tiago.

Overall the performance improved all through the game but we never reached a real pivotal performance and Napoli always had dangerous moves. A change of formation helped a bit but our forwards were not in good shape and wasted a lot of chances.

A moment of magic by Del Piero who was in an off form gave a brilliant pass to Iaquinta who burried the ball and brought us the three points.

Buffon 6.5: Excellent saves when tested.

Grygera 6: Good games without mistakes. I did not see him pushing forward many times
Chiellini 7: Totally took Lavezzi out of the game, sublime performance and he is my runner-up to MOM.
Stendardo 6.5: Solid game, good marking on Calaìo and this guy can tackle.

Nocerino 6: Not really adding much to the game just he did well to mark Hamsik and decrease Napoli's power.
Tiago 6.5: Very good game and I hope to see more of him. He lacks some energy and he played very much deep but he is probably our best passer.
Sissoko 7.5 MOM: This guy is a beast. He won us all the balls, he haunted Napoli's players and his passing was a bit better than before. I don't know what makes him do that but he is always there.
Salihamidzic 6: Probably our worst player on the field. He simply did nothing.
Nedved 6.5: Good game by Nedved and his return sure did make an impact but he suffered a lot from the young and physical Napoli defenders.

Trezeguet 5.5: Not his game, he received some balls and didn't do what he was supposed to do with them.
Del Piero 6: Not the performance we're used to from Capitano. He suffered a lot, he won us some free kicks that he couldn't translate but in the end he erased all the bad performance with a sovereign pass that won us the game.

Molinaro 6.5: Good game by Cristiano, some nice crosses and he actually was a big improvement on Hasan. He did some mistakes though that could have been crucial.
Iaquinta 6.5: Also good energy, goal winner with a very nice finish even though he didn't create the havoc he usually does. I liked his celebration and the Curva loves him.
    Birindelli NR

Ranieri 7: Good and daring formation to start with, he coped well with the shut outs and injuries and fielded a nice squad that worked like a diesel motor. Substitutions did us well and he chose good by removing our two worst players.

I am liking all the love for Momo. He was always going to be a great buy.

At the end we had probably the most offensive formation we have seen.. with Nedved, tiago and the trident out there.

It is made possible by the work of Sissoko. I love the domintation in the midfield.

It is nice to see us have total control agian.

    Dare I suggest Giovinco?

Man i thought Trez was invisible in the game, but after Vinny went in I thought he was gone to the showers or something.

Trez to enter as a sub and score two against Empoli.:bigscarf:

agree... just 1 point i'm not so sure about.... playing iaquinta from the beginning... i don't know why but everytime i see him starting his games were poor... coming on from the bench he really makes the difference
Thats true. The only way you can start Iaquinta is when you play with 3attackers.

Iaquinta hasn't got the Del Piero style, touched, passes, control...but he's fast and he's good finisher, playing Iaquinta in 4-4-2 wouldn't help him at all.

Start him in a trident or put him when we need fast legs.

As for Momo, I'm glad i'm not the only one left anymore around here who is inlove with Momo. I've always trusted this great Momo.

Does anybody else think that we should bench Legro for Stendardo, and play:

    Zebina - Stendardo - Chiellini - Grygera

    for the remaining games?

Normally i'm against nitpicking on Ranieri, but I really think he should not be overlooked. He experimented so poorly today that he had to undo his experiment after just an hour. Luckily tihngs went right from there on, but completely changing your formation at such a time usually makes thing go awry. I guess the formation we began with was just THAT bad.

Iaquinta man of the match for me, the way he came unto the pitch and fought as ever for every ball just spelled out for me "i'm going to win us this game today!"
