I was really hard on Iaquinta when he came, I just didn't see him as a big club player but not because he lacks skill but because he's not a teamplayer and the preason really showed my concerns were true. He tries to impress and do everything himself, a number of times he could have and should have passed to better positioned players. But when I saw his assist yesterday it gave me some hope, I really thought he's gonna shoot himself even though there already a number of defenders on him. He played it exceptionally, waited with ball, got the defenders on him and at the perfect time played the ball straight to Trez's feet. That was a great combination and teamwork, credit must go to Iaquinta just as much as Trez. Trez made a sublime finish, took the ball perfectly, didn't make an extra unnecesarry step forward and finished it off with his left foot in the lower left corner. Definetly one of his biggest strenghts, plays with both feet exceptionally.
That said I really didn't Iaquinta's behaviour after the second goal. I mean he's glad he scored, but that kind of celebrating is a little disrespectfull IMO. He should have laughed it off and calmly went over to Nedved and said to him: "you're the man". But he went crazy as if he took on the world and concquered himself. I don't like that, I see the effect of playing for a small club, where it's all about you, still in him but I think there is hope for him in this jersey. Teamwork is the key, if he can conquer that he'll be good for us.
